The kitchen is coming together a treat! And those tiles will be beautiful when they are laid! Such a shame the doors are wrong- again. Sounds like my window saga X 3! You wonder how hard it can be to get it right! Hopefully no delays in getting the right ones next tkme C U S T O M. C O R A L. That included the cloak and store rooms. BUT our vinyl got discontinued and they upgraded us at no cost because we didn't love it as much as our original choice and we're going to go to Harvey Norman instead. I'm good with it now though I think. There's now 2 ranges. A cheaper range and more expensive range. Re: Clarendon Madison 37 in The Grove 206Aug 01, 2016 9:28 am Mrs RS You were lucky to save 5k We didn't save $5k. That's what we paid for our original choice. The upgraded choice was an extra $2k I think more than that. But we got the upgrade for the original $5k price. I wish they'd give flooring away! viewtopic.php?f=31&t=82062 Madison 37 - site start 16.2.16 Re: Clarendon Madison 37 in The Grove 208Aug 01, 2016 9:32 am Mrs RS Lol they not giving anything free ...we going for electrical appt tomorrow so already thinking of upgrades and not to spend too much but let's see. ... We got alot of external wiring and points done too which increased the cost. It's looking amazing leeleh! Re: Clarendon Madison 37 in The Grove 212Aug 01, 2016 2:58 pm Mrs RS Hi Leeleh $15k on electrical is too much did you upgraded lots of stuff. ..I am budgeting 5k for electrical...... RS. If you opt for batten fittings instead of led downlights you will save lots. Don't skimp on wiring downstairs if you plan to build a two storey. The idea is, get the spacing and wiring for future retro fit of expensive fittings. You will really struggle to do this afterwards unless you plan ahead. Go basic upstairs as contractors will be able to access the ceiling void to run their wiring. I spent less than 5k on my two storey with plenty of provisions downstairs. Stick closely to battens and downlight provisions to save money. Builder's make huge margins on electrical fittings where you can easily buy online way cheaper Edge39.my-letter-box.com Re: Clarendon Madison 37 in The Grove 214Aug 01, 2016 6:21 pm We did quite a few downlights downstairs plus added external lighting, garden lighting, wall lights, step lights, extra strength battens to where we might put heavy lights, fan points outside, dimmers, extra power points. I could have spent a lot more but had to reign it in. I just wanted everything downstairs done. I don't really want to do much after handover. Been there done that so I just want to move in and relax the landscaping is enough of a headache for me haha viewtopic.php?f=31&t=82062 Madison 37 - site start 16.2.16 Re: Clarendon Madison 37 in The Grove 216Aug 01, 2016 10:27 pm Mrs RS Hi Leeleh all little stuff adds up and we don't realize how quickly we have crossed our budget...will see tomorrow how much we spend. . Yep it adds up crazy fast! We just had to pick where we spent money and where we could do without and upgrade later it's not easy but at the end we all will have wonderful new homes viewtopic.php?f=31&t=82062 Madison 37 - site start 16.2.16 Re: Clarendon Madison 37 in The Grove 217Aug 01, 2016 10:27 pm KLB We budgeted $5k and spent $9k lol. I chose my electrical a year ago and regretted not doing a whole lot more. We are halfway through our build and I asked if I can go back to Clipsal and redo my electrical and they allowed me because the electrical rough-ins were not done yet. So just last week I spent 3 hours and $13K with Clipsal and got everything I wanted with no hassles after handover, and mind you it'll all be covered in the builders warranty and also part of my home loan. And yep just gonna worry about the landscape and fencing afterwards. the stair balustrades? There is nothing special about these and I imagine literally every stair installer will be able to do this. 1 7122 The two 15mm holes are obviously not compliant.
