Build Thread : viewtopic.php?f=31&t=81624 Landscape Thread : viewtopic.php?f=19&t=86133 Your "stack" (the pipes that run waste from the upstairs toilet/shower/basins etc and connects down to your ground floor services)) is in your laundry (according to your plans anyway). I would guess that that particular pipe is for your toilet in the powder room. Although it does seem very close to the wall - normally the wall to the garage sits on the higher part of the slab (the powder room), not on the lower part (the garage itself). Otherwise, it could be more of a "conduit" where they run the hot and cold water pipes under the slab to get across to the kitchen - that is, it won't take actual water, but just be used to run the water pipes to other parts of the house. Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 427Feb 16, 2017 8:12 am Yep, if I were to guess, I would say that one is the "conduit" for other pipes - but it is only a guess. Regardless, I wouldn't be concerned as it is likely that the pipe will be cut down to floor level anyway. The one on the left looks like the toilet waste and the one on the right looks like the floor waste. Hi clintdb, If that pipe is for conduit, I wonder if they have forgotten to laid pipe for vanity waste. We do have vanity unit next to the toilet in the power room, I do have a feeling this is for vanity waste. I do hope that they will do good job at joining so water don't leak out from floor. As always thank you for your input, much appreciated. They would put a reducer on it (the vanity waste would only be a 40mm or 50mm pipe). I wasn't quite sure as often the vanity waste goes to the corner of the room where the vanity is - that way they don't have to try and guess where to put the waste point (it may end up on the "outside" of the vanity unit if the vanity is smaller than expected). If it's in the corner (and the vanity is pushed into the corner) then it doesn't matter how big the vanity is, the waste will always be underneath it Seksui KDR in Sydney (2015-2016) Links --> | H1 thread | Final plans | Timing of works updated 9/3/16 | Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 430Feb 16, 2017 9:47 am shazaw Colours for kitchen selection. While driving to the colour studio we were excited as well as feeling a bit dreadful with dealing new colour consultant. Our appointment was only for 1 hour , but we ended up 4 hours from 11am to 2pm. She took us step by step explaining how design works with colours and focal points. Her advice was excellent, we were very happy with our new colours range. If any one going to build with Burbank, we do highly recommend " Kara". Because we have a large island bench in the kitchen... this becomes first focal point from standing at the hallway looking into open plan kitchen. The colour for island bench is dark grey stone... when the eyes flow towards the cook top area ....we see the kitchen window splash back, this is the second focal point which looks out to vertical garden out side. The colour of dark grey from island bench is pick up by the colour of kitchen window frame ( woodland grey) because the window splash back becomes the second focal point the surrounding cabinets and cook top bench needs to be tone down... hence the white stone for cooking bench and Saren grey for cabinets ( in the white colour range but goes with both island bench stone and cooking bench stone). Kara even advised on the colour of the flooring even we are doing flooring after hand over. We are very happy with new our new selections. I wanted the powder room to add glamour so we have chosen dark patchies pattern with a hint of grey showing on the stone which is "Arden blue " ( the far right dark colour) adding "Paperbark silk finish" to vanity unit. We don't have full tiles to ceiling but tiles to 1.2m wall height, this allows us to hang a painting in the powder room. The Guest room's ensuite will have same colour with tiles from floor to ceiling. The brick is dark brown, the garage roller door is dark, the window frames are dark, the balcony slats are dark and the front entry door and the balcony door are dark colours too. So she suggested to us to break the dark colour by changing the front entry door and balcony door to lighter colour. By doing so balcony slats will pop out. Yes I must admit I didn't see that before... glad she has pointed that out to us. Otherwise we will only find out after the house build. In some respects though, it doesn't matter if it's expensive or not. Good to know smeg is still used, they had those same 900mm smeg items & microwave for us. We had to change to a&l and Bristile too. No issue though it's the same profile - prestige. what brick supplier did you have selected? We had PGH, hoping we don't have to re-select as I think PGH is part of boral Upgrade prices seem to be have changed a little but like Clint said depends on your options. If we leave these items to do later... for surer will never happen. Definitely extra gas bayonets must added in now as these items will not be easy to do later. 1. External water tap for garden $150 each - one near the Electric meter box at the front of the house next to study - one at alfresco - for vertical garden 2. Internal Gas Bayonet $300 each ( this one is on high $$) - one for ground floor study room, will be easier to heat these rooms without using air con during winter - one for first floor living room.....most likely I will be in this room a lot during winter 3. Internal - water tap for fridge $130 - don't have a fridge required tap now...may be later 4. Internal - water outlet/tap for washing machine $130 5. Water sub meter for outdoor living $80 6.
