Hopefully it is not too long to get yours sorted. We had Christmas in the middle of our issues which slowed things down by a week or so, so hopefully it is a bit quicker for you. My blog: tashandpaul.wordpress.com Re: Our Forever Home at Cloverlea 145Mar 10, 2017 2:20 pm Thanks guys! I was wondering how you were going Simmi. Yep, back on track, builder told me today he is hoping to get most things done in next two weeks and then PCI... it seems a bit surreal after so long. I am so sick of living out of boxes. Can't wait to 'refind' everything - I can't remember half of what we have. I'm really hoping to get keys the week ending 7 April.... might be a bit unrealistic. If we can, we can have our sparky in there the following week and then move in just before Easter. Have to see how next week goes. Carpet and splashback going in on Tuesday, carpenter Wednesday..... Splashback in, front facade finished - just needs painting (done today?), towel rails, etc are in... http://i666.photobucket.com/albums/vv26/nataisha19/front%201%20160317_zpslrzripqd.jpg http://i666.photobucket.com/albums/vv26/nataisha19/splashback%201_zps9w4cfqiw.jpg http://i666.photobucket.com/albums/vv26/nataisha19/splashback%202_zpszbeaolhe.jpg http://i666.photobucket.com/albums/vv26/nataisha19/rails%20160317_zpsojxwjrqn.jpg http://i666.photobucket.com/albums/vv26/nataisha19/carpet%201%20160317_zpsphzmof3c.jpg http://i666.photobucket.com/albums/vv26/nataisha19/carpet%203%20160317_zpsnqy0pe6h.jpg Oh and we moved some dirt around on Saturday, back filling against the new retaining walls. Our backs were pretty sore yesterday! We should now be able to get a digger in around the back to help us out. Hoping for PCI on Friday, just waiting to book in a time.... My blog: tashandpaul.wordpress.com Re: Our Forever Home at Cloverlea - nearly there! 149Mar 20, 2017 12:50 pm Looks great Tash! I like the carpet. Is it a dark grey or blue? Looks more blue in the pic. Also looks like you'll have a fair bit of storage in the kitchen which is nice Re: Our Forever Home at Cloverlea - nearly there! 150Mar 20, 2017 1:03 pm Thanks Dani_J - It's grey, but looks a bit blue in the pics. I really wanted a more brown grey but they just didn't have one I wanted in the 80wool/20nylon mixes, which is what we wanted. Yes - lots of kitchen space. The cabinet doors will be put back on soon, they had to fix some of the plaster above them so they got taken back off a few weeks ago. I think the painter is there today so might call in tonight and see how it's all looking My blog: tashandpaul.wordpress.com Re: Our Forever Home at Cloverlea - nearly there! 151Mar 20, 2017 7:05 pm Well carpet looks great regardless. Sometimes we just have to settle. I'm sure once you move in and get used to it, you won't notice it or might even actually prefer it. Re: Our Forever Home at Cloverlea - nearly there! 152Mar 24, 2017 3:10 pm We had PCI this morning, no major issues. Few paint touchups, and a few bits and pieces to be finished. Very happy with how things are going. Fingers crossed for handover in a few weeks! My blog: tashandpaul.wordpress.com Re: Our Forever Home at Cloverlea - nearly there! 153Mar 24, 2017 8:36 pm Yay! Re: Our Forever Home at Cloverlea - nearly there! 159Mar 30, 2017 11:19 am Thanks Wickie, it definitely feels that we are coming to the end of a very long road. We are busy booking things in to get done soon after handover - window coverings, antenna, electrician (to finish our lighting, as well as install fans, TV's etc), window tinting (our front WIR window needs to be frosted, we forgot to order it that way), removalist, security door, etc. It is exciting but a bit nerve wracking, I want the next week to go quickly! My blog: tashandpaul.wordpress.com Re: Our Forever Home at Cloverlea - nearly there! 160Apr 03, 2017 1:56 pm Handover booked in for Friday! Very happy that we are able to keep to that date. Driveway probably won't be done (we had some issues with the retaining wall that Ashford did so it was delayed) by then but not too fussed, I know it will be done soon, and it means we can proceed to get everything done we need to before moving in around Easter.
