Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jan 09, 2016 9:20 pm Hi everyone! Finally decided to start my own thread after being a long time lurker Hubby and I are building our very first home after thinking for all these years that we could never afford our own home. Turns out we can! lol. We decided on a custom plan because our block is kind of a diamond shape, with a 6m frontage that tapers back. Its 573sqm. We've been told that footings will be dug Monday/Tuesday next week 11/1/16, then the concreter will be there Monday 18/1/16, so that's exciting! I'm still trying to work out how everything works when it comes to loading pics and posts ect. Bare with me, I have a ton of pictures that include our selections ect. Re: Custom Sterling Adelaide Build 5Jan 09, 2016 9:29 pm Thanks Hayleyyyy! I just realised that picture of the block had our addy on there so I quickly cropped it! Lol Re: Custom Sterling Adelaide Build 6Jan 09, 2016 9:57 pm Fantastic news ... You're finally starting! That is an interesting shaped block. Are you in a cul-de-sac? What colours are you going with? Re: Custom Sterling Adelaide Build 9Jan 09, 2016 10:12 pm TomCat Fantastic news ... You're finally starting! That is an interesting shaped block. Are you in a cul-de-sac? What colours are you going with? No not in a cul de sac, the road is straight then it curves into a horseshoe then straight again. We're in the horseshoe part. Just finished loading the colours for tonight. I'm so sure that I've forgotten something though! There is so much to catch you up on. Custom Sterling Adelaide Build 10Jan 10, 2016 9:24 am The kitchen sink. I opted for abovemount though because they were going to slog me an extra $400 for the polishing of the stone to undermount! Am I the only person who thinks that's a rip off? Lol
The kitchen tap I'm procrastinating about. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Custom Sterling Adelaide Build 13Jan 10, 2016 10:03 pm Hahaha!! You will LOVE double bowl sink (even though you won't wash your dishes (haha - dishwasher will). What a lovely luxxy home. Love all your colours and finishes. What sort of colour is the wall colour? Never heard of it Re: Custom Sterling Adelaide Build 16Jan 10, 2016 10:21 pm It's been so long since we've done our selections, do you think they'll mesh well? I keep second guessing myself. Lol Re: Custom Sterling Adelaide Build 18Jan 10, 2016 11:36 pm Fantastic! Lovely flat block that's a really nice colour - nice grey like a seagull (my fave birdie). I reckon you did good with your colors and tones - they harmonise well Re: Custom Sterling Adelaide Build 20Jan 12, 2016 4:44 pm Following Your selections look great! I had no idea how much the stone work to undercount a sink would cost so much...good to know. Look forward to updates...I'm still in lurking mode before I start my own thread. I'd get the gutters to match your roof and pipes to match the paint - otherwise they become a feature. Nice pick with the paint colours! 1 34269 6 55345 So it looks like we finally have some movement on site! Definitely later than expected, but I'll take any progress at this point. I'll drop by over the weekend to get… 5 27694 |
