Re: Our first build: "Bridgewater" by Gj's Shoalhaven 1043Feb 22, 2017 9:36 pm Thanks Reg. Our ensuite tiles were an upgrade for the dark ones. And we decided to go the smart waste in there too. We figured. We are working to pay for this and can't fit a bath in there so we wanted something a bit different. - otherwise known as Kym - Re: Our first build: "Bridgewater" by Gj's Shoalhaven 1044Feb 22, 2017 9:38 pm Oh my word Kym!!! We didn't get our alfresco tiled but after seeing how well the front ones look I'm considering having the back done in the same ones. - otherwise known as Kym - Re: Our first build: "Bridgewater" by Gj's Shoalhaven 1046Feb 22, 2017 10:09 pm How did you go with your pool quote Kym? Tiling will be finished next week with paint to start the week after. Then all the fun stuff with fit offs Our feature wall in the ensuite has been tiled and I absolutely love it. It's turned out much better than I could ever have imagined. Bathroom vanities are in, 'laundry' tiled. Wall tiles will be finished and grouting done next week. - otherwise known as Kym - Re: Our first build: "Bridgewater" by Gj's Shoalhaven 1049Feb 25, 2017 6:41 am Didn't happen unless there's photos Girl your flying!!! And we found the kitchen installers made a rookie mistake he didn't check which cupboards go where so the two end cupboards on the top are in the wrong spot. Idiot! The SS has been amazing tho and has arranged for them to come and fix their mistake. They also need to replace 3 cupboard doors as they are chipped and have marks on them from where they were tied down on the truck. - otherwise known as Kym - Re: Our first build: "Bridgewater" by Gj's Shoalhaven 1051Feb 25, 2017 11:02 am Oh well about the kitchen, should be a easy fix for you. Love the portico tiles - ummm might have to ask hubby if we can do that for now until we can afford to deck the whole front. Only cost us the tiles and glue as we have all the tiling stuff we need after diy our old house. ~Shellby~ GJ Bridgewater 203 11/3/2016 - Site Work Started 29/9/2016 - Handover 142 Work Days 6 Work Days Over https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=80174 Re: Our first build: "Bridgewater" by Gj's Shoalhaven 1052Feb 25, 2017 12:57 pm Wow wow wow!!! PVC can be used indoor but mdf can't be used outdoor... The fan looks nice... Re: Our first build: "Bridgewater" by Gj's Shoalhaven 1057Feb 26, 2017 9:44 pm Thanks Reg. they are both pvc so all good there. We double checked coz that was one thing I was worried about. Making sure it could go outside. - otherwise known as Kym - Re: Our first build: "Bridgewater" by Gj's Shoalhaven 1058Feb 28, 2017 2:44 pm Hi Shellby, your ensuite colour selection is on point! I love the dark colours. I've noticed that you have quite a bit of slope on your land, which I do too. Did you have to pay extra on top of the included standard site costs for single storey, if so roughly how much? Re: Our first build: "Bridgewater" by Gj's Shoalhaven 1059Feb 28, 2017 3:57 pm Thanks G1nosaur! Yes we ended up with about a 4.6mtr fall over the 36mtr length. We went with screw piers and the builder had already allowed an additional 10lm of piering in our contract so as we could go to site completely fixed price. We decided to put a split into the design to reduce the gradient of the driveway and to improve the flow and usability of the back yard. That was a variation and cost around 2k. That Included the 2.7ceiling heights in the majority of the house (that's on the bottom section). - otherwise known as Kym - Re: Our first build: 1060Feb 28, 2017 4:23 pm needsausername Thanks G1nosaur! This is on top of the mandatory double storey site cost of 28170. I need a H2 slab, piering, beams and traffic control which I thought would already be included in the mandatory 28k site cost.
