When going up to the house there's no limit on the gradient of the driveway but towards the house there is. Not entirely sure on the two story situation. I'll see if I can find what our soil report came back as. It's mostly sand if that's any help? - otherwise known as Kym - Re: Our first build: 1062Feb 28, 2017 6:52 pm needsausername :/ that seems excessive for a 1.6m up slope. I'll see if I can find what our soil report came back as. It's mostly sand if that's any help? Yeah, it's heaps. I can't complain though, my tender with Rawson and Wisdom came back 50k more expensive due to them adding the piers, h2 slab, steps, beams etc, these have already been covered by the GJ consultant which is great. So I don't think the tender will be much different to the initial quote which is again, great =]. Thanks for your help ? Following your thread =D Re: Our first build: "Bridgewater" by Gj's Shoalhaven 1063Mar 02, 2017 11:43 am Omg omg omg people it's time to chill the champas!!! ??? So happy!! It's a Monday so I've already said I'm not going to work that day haha and just found out hubby has a course in Sydney for work. Leaves 27th gets back 29th looks like a girls party for the first 2 nights lmao Dee (... Dave?) lol I'm sure you will. We've been surprised it's not up already given the other beechwood progress in the area! Have they said anything? Who's your SS? BOU: we didn't get any landscaping in the contract. We will get driveway done after and we have friends with excavators that can help us out with moving soil etc around the place ready for retaining and turf. Just got to work out our priorities. It was a pool but honestly. The trouble our car is causing us. The priorities are being questioned. :/ who know the new x trails were crap hey! Charli I'm off to catch up on your build now. - otherwise known as Kym - Re: Our first build: "Bridgewater" by Gj's Shoalhaven 1069Mar 02, 2017 10:38 pm Just in a queue after the Christmas break and with all this rain it's just putting everyone back. We're told maybe tomorrow; weather pending, more like next week. Windows and our beautiful 3.4 x 3.6 mtr triple stacker corner door arrived today too. We have all the pieces, Dee said we just need a handful of Allen keys to put this flatpacked house together. Re: Our first build: "Bridgewater" by Gj's Shoalhaven 1070Mar 03, 2017 5:40 am It does feel a bit like IKEA on steroids hey! It's unfortunate with the weather but as soon as they have clear days I'm sure they'll smash it outgg - otherwise known as Kym - Re: Our first build: "Bridgewater" by Gj's Shoalhaven 1071Mar 03, 2017 5:44 am Hahaha I wouldn't go work either, I'd just be like catch ya, gotta get my keys. Bye. Ahh, bummer about the car/pool decision... I hope it works out! Fingers crossed we have frames delivered next week. But still so happy for you!! Are your pretty well packed? Haha yes it was Charli. I've never been so disappointed in a product and brand. The pool will wait 12 months which in the length of time we are going to be in the house is nothing. Not being able to start my 18mth old car on the other hand is a slightly more pressing issue Looking at cars today on our way up to the in laws. You know it's bad when their own service advisor said he wouldn't own a Nissan - otherwise known as Kym - Re: Our first build: "Bridgewater" by Gj's Shoalhaven 1074Mar 04, 2017 10:08 am In other more happier news, We haven't packed anymore but we have chucked a metric sh1tload of stuff. And picked up our alfresco fan and pendants yesterday so we are good to go. Now to try book a removalist. Omg and stay in our house for the first two nights just me and the girls coz hubby is at a course in Sydney lol - otherwise known as Kym - Re: Our first build: "Bridgewater" by Gj's Shoalhaven 1075Mar 06, 2017 4:13 pm 21 sleeps till keys but who's counting?! - otherwise known as Kym - Re: Our first build: "Bridgewater" by Gj's Shoalhaven 1077Mar 06, 2017 7:25 pm Woo girls nights! Will you organise move after hubby is back? That's terrible about the car, just keep on Nissan and they should replace no problems clearly there is an issue if it's under two years old. My sister just recently had Holden replace her Cruze from about 4-5 years ago with a brand new Captiva cause of constant issues. So there is hope! And then pool Re: Our first build: "Bridgewater" by Gj's Shoalhaven 1078Mar 06, 2017 7:48 pm Thanks charli and BOU! I'm getting quoted for a removalist for that afternoon no point wasting time right?! I'll stay at our house with our girls and then clean the rental while they are at school. My mother in law has offered to come down to help me out in packing and cleaning while the hubbies away. Bless her. With our car, we got stuck twice in Sydney for longer than 20 mins over the weekend trying to get it to recognize the fob so it would start. Not to mention every other time we had to over ride the system with the method Nissan advised of. TBH neither my husband nor myself have the time of energy to fight them which is really annoying. I would love nothing more than to make my point but alas it looks like we have purchased a santafe highlander. Kids are very excited for the glass roof and bits and bobs. Lol Pool will happen but we will get ducted a/c this year and then have the pool as a long term goal. - otherwise known as Kym - Re: Our first build: "Bridgewater" by Gj's Shoalhaven 1079Mar 06, 2017 7:56 pm Oh how frustrating, hope it works out so that you aren't out of pocket too much then for these issues. Good work on the moving, we have planned to have the truck arrive at handover ready to unload lol Re: Our first build: "Bridgewater" by Gj's Shoalhaven 1080Mar 09, 2017 2:42 pm Thanks BOU! That was sort of our plan too but the removalist has requested we do it a few days after as they've had issues in the past where something hasn't gone to plan and they couldn't unload. So I think we will do it at Thursday Just drove past and the windows are all blacked out for the painting Last variation received so they can issue the final invoice and paperwork ready for payment. Eeeek!!! Oh and we pick up our new car on Saturday Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ - otherwise known as Kym - hi guys. Please be nice. First time home builder in Qld.
