I didn't get a photo though. Now to start the framing for another garden bed under our bedroom windows. Not sure what to plant there though. ~Shellby~ GJ Bridgewater 203 11/3/2016 - Site Work Started 29/9/2016 - Handover 142 Work Days 6 Work Days Over https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=80174 Re: Our First Build - GJ Gardener Bridgewater 1069Mar 29, 2017 9:03 am Pics shell!!! - otherwise known as Kym - Re: Our First Build - GJ Gardener Bridgewater 1070Mar 29, 2017 9:03 am After being in for a few months, how is it?? Still loving it? - otherwise known as Kym - Our First Build - GJ Gardener Bridgewater 1071Mar 30, 2017 12:19 pm Not the best photo as the rain from the cyclone has reached us. It's been six months, still love my house but so over mud and dirt and landscaping. Basically for 3-4 months it's been to hot to work outside hoping now it's cooling down we can finish everything else off before our 1 year anniversary in the house. I'm very glad we added the 0.5m to the bedrooms side of the house otherwise they would feel really cramped. I do wish my pantry was bigger and I don't have enough storage space in the kitchen for everything I have so a lot of things I need but don't use often - like cake tins, cake containers etc are in drawers in the garage. However with this block we couldn't do anything about it - but if we built this house on another block I would def add a metre to length and make pantry bigger. Also wish I placed a PowerPoint in the broom cupboard now I have a cordless dyson, so have it installed in the garage for the power to charge. We also plan to one day (like 5 year plan) to add double internal sliders to the lounge room - be nice to shut off to the rest of the house in there. We do still love the house and it fits us perfectly. The older boys will be both gone in 4 more years if they follow their army plan and then it will be only 3 of us here and the house will def feel much bigger then. ~Shellby~ GJ Bridgewater 203 11/3/2016 - Site Work Started 29/9/2016 - Handover 142 Work Days 6 Work Days Over https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=80174 Re: Our First Build - GJ Gardener Bridgewater 1072Apr 09, 2017 11:42 pm So question about lighting - outside. I feel like I need another light out the front eave. Here it currently is Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ So basically I have one of either side of the garage door, one at the front door (or middle of portico) then one at the other corner of the house. But I'm thinking it looks not quite right - like there should be another light on that side. They are on different switches so we don't have to have them all on if we don't want too. The kids drawers don't fit in their wardrobes so looks like we will be doing robe fitouts sooner than later The fence looks great! I'm looking forward to having privacy. I can't believe it's been 6months! - otherwise known as Kym - Re: Our First Build - GJ Gardener Bridgewater 1074Apr 10, 2017 11:31 am I thought about it Shell and put one on garage and one on pillar .. same on the other side, one on the bedroom wall and the other on the other pillar The light on the left side of your garage looks like it is deep ...like your new position... one on the pillar will be nice and serve the purpose... Re: Our First Build - GJ Gardener Bridgewater 1075Apr 17, 2017 9:22 pm They are all in the eaves and centered, I think I agree with you guys, will have to arrange to get another one installed. Kim - did you have shelves in your robes? I had one side shelves and other hanging so it didn't matter that the kids drawers didn't fit. Good bit meant drawers for storage in the garage. I have finally unpacked my garage - I think total time was like 72 hours . I have my new door installed Wednesday so finally be able to drive into my garage. Other side it setup like a workshop.
