Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jul 31, 2015 12:12 pm So we received building approval this week on our madison 39 clarendon home. It's taken a while to get to this point but we are very happy to finally be here! Just need to get the bank to notify Clarendon that they are happy to pay for it all and it should get started soon. We live in the same street as where we are building and knocked the old place down 2 months ago so we have been driving/walking past our vacant block for months now and really just want to get it started! Hope that site start date comes through really soon. Re: Our Madison 39 by clarendon 9Aug 13, 2015 11:28 am Whereabouts are you building MinandB? I really like your plan, your house is massive and it has most of the features I would want in a two storey, including a full powder room with a shower downstairs Another fan of your laundry/WIP configuration, very practical for getting groceries in from the garage. Normally I don't love the laundry-through-WIP idea but having your food shelves separate from the butlers pantry area means I'm sold You have so many living spaces, do you have plans for them all? I've never heard of anyone using durian timber before! I'm not big fan of WIP/laundry configs normally either, but this one worked for us. The front living room will be our Study, the theatre the kids toy room for the moment. I think we ended up with a bedroom and living room extra to what we need but I'm sure they will come in handy! We wanted bigger bedrooms, so ended up with a big house! I don't think the displays have Durian timber but we were told it was $2k cheaper than Tasmanian oak. A friend has it so I'm hoping it looks as good in our house as theirs. Happy days you have excess space we are the opposite and used up every bit of space bigger bedrooms are a huge plus, means lots of there toys can be kept in there rooms and they have space to play alone if they wish to. Oh wow i haven't heard of durian timber stairs either. Looking forward to the pics of those Re: Our Madison 39 by clarendon 13Aug 13, 2015 10:27 pm Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ my crazy trying to pick colours for tiles photo.
