Despite calling this out months ago, the kitchen and pantry wall cabinets are overhanging over the window splash back! Not what we wanted. SS has said he will need to reorder slightly shorter cabinets. Too hard to move the bulkhead! 2. All the fittings for the vanity basin tap wear seem off centre and slightly incorrectly positions! Not sure what M will do about this one. 3. We added a hanging rail to one of the wall cabinets on the laundry (you can just see it in the photo). It's way too high and with the shelf at the bottom of the unit doesn't seem very usable...not sure what if anything they do about this one either. Let's see... Very happy to see it coming together though! Play the dumb and innocent card and tell them you were told it would have the shelve above and why would they build it like that. What can you hang in that space with the shelve below. What the worst that can happen. Our Nolan viewtopic.php?p=1516376%23p1516376 Like the idea but we have have missed that opportunity now. with our SM doing so many fixes to date, we'd be happy to get it done "directly", maybe whilst the cabinet guys fix up the final elements of the remaining cabinets. Could be a case of picking our battles and excepting some stuff as post handover. I personally wouldn't want the counter top flowing into the window... Increases the risk of breaking the glass too much by accidentally sliding a full pot off the cooktop BTW, what colour is the cabinetry?? So the actually dropped the whole window without any impact to the cabinets. It looks very good. They will fix up any brickwork as necessary to align with the window. The stone work top will meet with the window frame and not the glass so should be ok. Colour of cabinets in 'Dulux Ticking'. White on the opposite/island bench side. We have a raw concrete CS coming! Can't wait to see it all come together. Build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=78995 Re: Metricon Glendale 37+ 408Feb 14, 2017 10:23 pm VMGlendale37 Colour of cabinets in 'Dulux Ticking'. We're considering one of the charcoal laminates that's name escapes me at the moment for all cabinetry, but I'm a little worried it could make everything too dark... Depends on the colour of your walls and floor...we have light walls and a spotted gum timber floor so hopefully will be bright enough.
