Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Building with Metricon 4281Jan 12, 2017 10:19 pm Am I the only person that is left puzzled every time I see the comment 'Metricon the knockdown rebuild specialist ' I have to laugh when I see this .... a year ago when I started this journey, not knowing anything about building I spoke to my sales guy and asked how does the knockdown process work, response that's your responsibility we require a flat vacant block....... hmmmm so how are you knockdown specialist...........don't get me wrong Metricon are doing great so far but unless I'm mistaken I don't see how they are a knockdown specialist when I have to get council approval and find a demolition team to do the work get the clearance certificate etc.... hmmmm. In the end was prob a good thing thing I did it. No other builder in the estate does this?? might be a good thing Emmz.... sawdust absorbs and keeps moisture..helps keep the slab edge from chipping... I showed that pic to hubby and he said no. Our splashback is quite near the boundary fence and the neighbours window looks directly into our kitchen. I might have to put some plants there or something. I'll contact the construction coordinator first thing tomorrow. Just wanted to get independent inspector for the frame stage.
