Easy to upgrade it later on when the budget permits it lol Re: Building with Metricon 1364Feb 02, 2016 3:25 pm Yeah my thoughts exactly!! Is there anywhere that you can put a chute in the Glendale? Re: Building with Metricon 1370Feb 02, 2016 6:23 pm Glendale45 Has anyone had a laundry chute put in through M? I was told M will not do a laundry chute for me, it is too much responsibility. But if you ask to have a void put in and specify that it not to have any services in it you can then retro fit it later. That's what we have done. Put a void in a bathroom upstairs directly above laundry and leave space below so we can cut through the roof install chute and cabinetry from below. Thanks for sharing Re: Building with Metricon 1372Feb 02, 2016 10:11 pm Glendale45 kylz4 Thanks for that, I've asked for it to be required and told them that their system of quoting with estimated figures is ridiculous!! Lol Build thread - viewtopic.php?t=81517 Metricon Glendale 42 Limited Edition Haha couldn't agree more!! Do they quote more than what it costs or less? Re: Building with Metricon 1373Feb 03, 2016 7:16 am It varies, the quoted $2k for the butler's pantry which someone else got a quote of $893 and for our feature 1200 door they only quoted $1k, luckily I had read how much they really cost so when we went to studio M I wasn't surprised when she said $2400 plus $600 for handle and lock! Re: Building with Metricon 1374Feb 03, 2016 9:45 am What is everyone doing regarding doorbells? We've never had a doorbell before, does it need to be wired in or is it just battery operated??
