Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jun 04, 2015 9:49 pm Hi There, This is my first post, and have found all the information on the forum to date invaluable as a first time builder. I'm building an investment property in the North Eastern suburbs of Perth (two storey home, small block, house size 241sqm). After a few issues with numerous other builders, I decided to engage a draftsman to design a home in line with relevant R-codes. He did a great job, good price, right on brief, with design currently with council for development approval. I have however spent significant time tendering to numerous builders in Perth; both volume builders and small builders. The quotes are significantly different (both construction costs and estimated site works). One of the contenders is the franchise GJ Gardner West. However, as a small builder, there are absolutely no posts on the forum as to any experiences people have had with them in Perth. If anybody has any stories, comments or experiences that they wish to share, I would be ever so grateful. Whether it relates to the quoting/tendering process, build time, build quality etc. I've asked GJ Garder for client recommendations which they are more than happy to give, but of course they always come with some caution! Thanks in advance. May I ask why you chose not to use GJ Gardiner? I'm actually meeting with one of the sales guys tomorrow for an appointment.
