Handover in four weeks, thats exciting for you. We are at the design stage of our split love home. Just wondering what the width of your stairs are? Did you decide what to do with the double hand rail? I think our split is similar, we just go the engineering plans and its 900mm? Is that your split? Sorry so many questions Re: Cabinetry has arrived. 146Jan 09, 2016 5:07 pm meshelf Hi Simmi71, I'm new and following your build house is looking great! Handover in four weeks, thats exciting for you. I've decided to leave the handrail there as per our builders suggestion. He said people will run there hands down our wall otherwise. We are painting it this same colour as our walls to hopefully blend it in Yes, our drop is exactly 900mm. Ended up with four stairs. Do you have a thread I can follow?? Re: Cabinetry has arrived. 150Jan 09, 2016 7:35 pm Hi thanks for the welcome Simmi71 and PVBuild too. I haven't started a thread just yet, was waiting on an update on our plans before I posted as have a few changes waiting on. But hopefully will have them soon. Anyway, that is a good point about the lack on handrail and the hand prints! Thank you for letting me know the size. Re: Cabinetry has arrived. 151Jan 12, 2016 12:25 pm Hi Simmi just stumbled across your thread and had a read . We are almost at the same stage as you but a bit behind so it's awesome to get an idea of what might come next! We have had our cabinetry installed and tiling is supposed to have started today (we'll see!) Love your colour choices! 4 weeks to handover sounds pretty exciting! We have been told we need to wait until the painting is done for an estimated handover date. I would love to just have an idea! viewtopic.php?f=31&t=75840&view=unread#unread Building with Statesman Homes in Myponga, SA View our thread here: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=75840&view=unread#unread Re: Cabinetry has arrived. 152Jan 12, 2016 9:56 pm Hi Simmi - I'm at a similar stage too. Awesome that you are nearly at the same stage!! It's gotten to the point where I just want to move in. Although there is still so much to do. I went to the house today and the first coat of paint is on. Wowsers!! Makes it feel completely different!! And huge!!! Builder met me there and said we are still on track. Painters have seven days left. Plumber will then do all fit outs and electrical as well. Flooring is booked for the 29th. After all this time it feels quite surreal!! But exciting!! Have you got a thread I can follow?? Would love to read through your build Re: Cabinetry has arrived. 155Jan 15, 2016 10:20 pm Simmi71 lishaun Hi Simmi just stumbled across your thread and had a read . It's awesome watching it take shape. We will probably be starting just as you get your keys! I have finally started a thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=81506 My blog: tashandpaul.wordpress.com Re: Cabinetry has arrived. 159Jan 24, 2016 10:18 am It's just 2 and a half weeks until handover! We are busy packing our things and throwing away/donating/ selling things!! Never realised how much stuff we actually have!! It's ridiculous!! Painters are still going hard at it. We went up yesterday to have a look and they are there all weekend. They are hoping to finish by Monday night. Flooring is booked for Wednesday through to Friday Fit offs is booked somewhere in there as well!! It actually feels so surreal. There seems like there is still so much needing to be done and so little time to achieve it. I guess I'm new to all of this and don't understand the time it takes to do anything. Can't wait to put some photos up Just don't have any at the moment Re: Cabinetry has arrived. 160Jan 24, 2016 10:24 am Ahhh that's exciting I've started sorting through all our stuff and we haven't even starting building yet we have lived here for over 12 years. We want to have to move with bare minimum stuff. I thought I was pretty good at getting rid of things then I found a box of baby clothes and my youngest is 8 soon Looking forward to pic updates, what kind of flooring are you having? No. It's not original. Circa early to mid 90s would be my guess and maybe even as late as early 2000s 1 6631 2 4680 that will depend on the kitchen bench depth. you'll have to specify it so it allows for both the tap and the sink 1 7394 |
