Great tile choices. Love the one on the right with the wave Re: Coral Homes - Noosa 25 5Mar 04, 2015 8:29 am Did you choose the designer or elegance package? I'm trying to figure out if its worth the extra $20g. I was hoping your selection was in the included range as I like them! Thanks Re: Coral Homes - Noosa 25 6Mar 04, 2015 8:41 am Firstbuild92 Did you choose the designer or elegance package? I'm trying to figure out if its worth the extra $20g. I think its worth the upgrade personally Re: Coral Homes - Noosa 25 14Mar 04, 2015 3:49 pm Woohoo looks great Lisa! Love the tile selections. It's usually much cheaper usually to supply your own lights/fans etc. Not all builders will allow you to do so though. I'm not sure what Coral's costs are like so you may save a lot or a little! I would be sourcing products you like to get costs so you go into your electrical appt knowing whether or not they are ripping you off! Coral Homes - Noosa 25 15Mar 04, 2015 5:10 pm lisalent With the electrical appt, did anyone supply their own downlights and/or fans with lights? Is it better to do so do you think? We had a additional light points added to plans & contract (maybe $70ish per extra light point). At the Clipsal appointment they then wanted an additional $78 to install an 'owner supplied light' instead of standard batten fitting. No idea what they charge for their supplied down lights, didn't bother to ask. So we stuck with the standard battens with Clipsal, purchased our own lights from Beacon and plan on doing a cash job with the electrician to fit them. Not sure what they charge yet but it's sure to work out cheaper than doing it all brought Clipsal. Hope that helps. Thanks, yeah we have been chatting about keeping the battens and changing them later.. and using some of our upgrade amount for ceiling fans with lights for 6 of the rooms. Dont suppose you know the cost of those? Re: Coral Homes - Noosa 25 17Mar 04, 2015 6:12 pm No sorry can't help you there. We have ceiling fans in all room but they're not the ones with the lights. We had them included in our contract price. Price would be in my thread somewhere., Re: Coral Homes - Noosa 25 18Mar 04, 2015 9:59 pm lisalent With the electrical appt, did anyone supply their own downlights and/or fans with lights? Is it better to do so do you think? We went to Beacon and priced the lights and fans we liked and took that along with Corals installation charges to our Clipsal appointment. That way as the options were presented in our electrical appointment we could work out what would be the best option. We ended up doing the down lights through Clipsal ($130ea) as opposed to $78+cost of owner supplied light. Yep we probably could have saved some money but found it easier to do it all through Clipspec. We did take a credit on the fans supplied by Coral as it was cheaper for us to pay the installation cost and supply our own from Beacon. Even though it was the exact same (saved $70 per unit from memory). Re: Coral Homes - Noosa 25 19Mar 05, 2015 8:35 am We spent a fortune ($6400) on electrical, but it was only for downlights, wiring for two and three way switches, dimmer switches and wiring for fans for later. We think we've found the pendants that we want for the kitchen bench and dining so we'll probably buy them and see if the sparkie will do a cash job install instead of the battens. Don't know if we'll get the fans and fan/lights before the electrical install, they might have to be done later. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13959 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 4365 Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 75229 |
