Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Mojo Homes 221May 31, 2016 1:32 pm Hi guys, Has anyone been offered to get insulation between Hebel panel and gyprock for an extra charge? Apparently it's an industry best practice and they 'recommend' us to get it and if any condensation issues arise and we don't get this upgrade then it will be on us and most likely will void the warranty. Anyone had this experience at colours appointment? Cheers, Vithal Re: Mojo Homes 222May 31, 2016 7:22 pm Maccy_73 We did do lots of changes but often not all changes would be reflected is the variation. The was lots of to and fro. And often weeks would go by with no contact. And then we had to wait two months or so for the colour appointment. Just all adds up to about three months of delays. Each time u make changes to ur plans it delays ur build by 2 weeks .. Before we sign our salesperson told us to think of all changes and keep it @ 2 changes max to keep it from delaying cause each change take 2 weeks .. I dont know if u guys were inform but yeah thats there process to my knowledge Re: Mojo Homes 223Jun 01, 2016 4:54 pm VithalMaddala01 Hi guys, Has anyone been offered to get insulation between Hebel panel and gyprock for an extra charge? Anyone had this experience at colours appointment? Cheers, Vithal Hi I asked for R2.5 in walls but they wouldn't do it. But they already have R2 in the walls. So I ended up being happy with that. They don't incl wall wrapping, but from memory they wanted to charge a crazy price for it so we didn't do it. When I spoke to Hebel they said about half their builders use wall wrap and half didn't. So I didn't get the feeling it was essential. (But I'm sure preferred from an insulation point of view). I havent heard any issue of condensation before ?? Re: Mojo Homes 225Jun 04, 2016 6:51 pm Should see our Consolidated Tender back this week - What was to be an Escala 27 with only minor changes (couple of doors and additional garage), has turned into few mods on the bottom floor due to the driveway entry point for our lot being poured on the less desirable side. Such is life. Anyway, we are just flipping the back half of the house which will change the layout of laundry, and butlers pantry. ^ noted above that they wouldn't do upgraded insulation? We have been quoted 2.5 in walls and 3.5 in ceiling ... but see what happens on the consolidated tender. Hasn't been the quickest turn around but not complete excruciating just yet........ see what happens once we sign off on the consolidated tender. Re: Mojo Homes 226Jun 06, 2016 5:09 pm Wow I didnt realise how long it was since I last posted. We have been moving along nicely and thank goodness got the roof on before the weather came in. The top storey was hebeled around the 23rd. Guttering was done on the 27th and then we were very excited to see the roof om Wednesday 3rd. Our SS Nick has been in touch every couple of weeks to keep us up to date and we have our next site visit next Tuesday. http://i873.photobucket.com/albums/ab300/power011/IMG_5533_zpsgyzndd6f.jpg http://i873.photobucket.com/albums/ab300/power011/IMG_5542_zpsoadrvcmq.jpg http://i873.photobucket.com/albums/ab300/power011/IMG_5553_zpslsqi4buu.jpg http://i873.photobucket.com/albums/ab300/power011/IMG_5588_zpsx16ehx2c.jpghttp://i873.photobucket.com/albums/ab300/power011/IMG_5592_zpsbsqqt6ti.jpg http://i873.photobucket.com/albums/ab300/power011/IMG_5593_zpsefesycmt.jpg Re: Mojo Homes 227Jun 06, 2016 6:06 pm Miss Shanty Wow I didnt realise how long it was since I last posted. Is your facade Grande or Coastal? Cheers, Vithal Re: Mojo Homes 229Jun 06, 2016 6:46 pm Miss Shanty Hi, Facade is Grande Oh thank you so much. I had a feeling it was. We are building Nova 33 with Grande facade too . Re: Mojo Homes 230Jun 25, 2016 4:06 am Hi every one i just joined the forum. w are building a enigma 46 , just finished the colour selection. so far so good. now bit concerned about the hebel panels they use for building. we have seen a mojo home being built in Edmonson Park ( we live near this house). the hebel panels were used for that house was not reenforced with metal mesh which was displyed at Kellyvale and in the colour studio . we have discussed this with our clint leision officer and waiting for the replay. Did any one else experienced the same thing? Re: Mojo Homes 232Jul 03, 2016 11:35 pm Hi I am also new. Just want to join and check out comments on Mojo. I am building a Enigma 41. Paid 3k in May. Received bad customer services so far. Really want to pull out but painful about the money we paid. Re: Mojo Homes 233Jul 05, 2016 6:03 pm Hi, did anyone here upgrade their kitchen bench top and Island colour? Roughly how much did the upgrade cost? Re: Mojo Homes 234Jul 05, 2016 6:06 pm HomeTweetHome Hi, did anyone here upgrade their kitchen bench top and Island colour? Roughly how much did the upgrade cost? Hi, We've upgraded ours to 2500*1200 for a grand. 40mm. Nova 33, Schofields. Cheers, Vithal Re: Mojo Homes 235Jul 05, 2016 6:17 pm Thanks Vithal. We have upgraded to grand as well but we didn't like the choices they offered as part of standard range. So we are considering upgrade to premium range if it is below 3k. Better yet, it's standard with Mojo. Caeserstone showroom is a must visit. Cheers, Vithal Re: Mojo Homes 237Jul 05, 2016 9:42 pm Have our plan review on 12th July, and selections on 19th. Will share plans when we see them. Escala 27 with some mods due to location of driveway entry on lot.... very frustrating as we loved the standard design. Re: Mojo Homes 238Jul 05, 2016 10:44 pm After my complaint of the sales rep, I was hoping to get another sales rep to continue with the project. However tonight I was told they don't want my business from an email of the sales manager in about 40 words. No mention on refund. No explanations were given. No mention if they have looked at my complaint. Their customer service is really marvelous! You better bite the bullet and let them finish your home. Does anyone know the channel of complaint to the CEO? Any use if I take it up to Fair Trading?
