Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Mojo Homes 801Feb 14, 2017 9:42 pm Short answer NO. long answer We moved the microwave to the butlers and put it in a wall oven tower (only used it for the microwave, helps keep it out of kiddies reach and its next to the fridge which lets face it is where i keep my leftover pizza which goes in the microwave lol). If you wanted to clean up the island bench just put in a double under mount bowl with no strainers (as we did).. the dishwasher is good where she is and bin in lieu of microwave fits well( they are both hidden on that side of the bench.) We also went with an induction cooktop (again better for cooking, safer for kidlets and cleaner lines) If you move most of these to the butlers it really doesn't leave you much prep room, you will then effectively be cleaning up in a tiny cramped area...or double handling things. I think it would be a big mistake. The beauty of open plan is that you aren't boxing yourself in when cooking or tidying up. You can partake in family activities, watch your favourite shows or even entertain as you prep and wash up. PS great size block! you'll need that triple garage for a ride on mower! lol Re: Mojo Homes 802Feb 15, 2017 4:40 pm Anyone building the Shieke Facade have issues when they went to their colours appointment? Major issue at the moment, when we decided to build with this facade we ask if the balaustre would be exactly what is pictured. In our floor plans it shows what looks like glass and spigots, perfect. When we got to our colours they asked what colour to powder coat the balustrade and we asked what they meant as it doesn't apply to that facade. They said this was standard and so begun the argument. So the facade we were sold on with pictures had one design, the plans had the same design, but colours are telling us that's not what we get. This is super misleading and we have not had good customer service from after signing the tender. If only the sales people were as bad as their customer service, I would say this thread would be half the size. Re: Mojo Homes 803Feb 17, 2017 11:25 am Any one know After how many days took to mojo home to start the construction? Re: Mojo Homes 804Feb 17, 2017 2:36 pm So I have checked the FB page and it looks like there are a lot of people having problems with Mojo and the Shieke\Luxe facade! To try turn this around, anyone here who has built a Sheike or Luxe facade have success and are happy with the outcome? Remember to undertake this facade costs anywhere from 50k onwards. Re: Mojo Homes 805Feb 19, 2017 9:59 am Huhness We just received our latest drawings and Mojo took all the cladding off our facade and replaced it with Hebel. We thought it was a mistake and they replied back that they no longer supply wood/bio wood cladding and I'd be getting Hebel instead, with no credit or any other options. They are trying to replace ours with real timber, um no no. That won't be happening, try maintaining that. Re: Mojo Homes 806Feb 21, 2017 9:47 am Do you guys know about road openings approval? And how many days will take to option? In addition to that how many days will takes for construction certificates to obtain? In addition to that how many days will takes for construction certificates to obtain? I think it depends on your council. I'm Camden council. I just went there, filled in the form and paid the fee. Done in less that 10 mins Re: Mojo Homes 808Feb 21, 2017 9:52 am tuckems private081983 Do you guys know about road openings approval? And how many days will take to option? Re: Mojo Homes 814Feb 22, 2017 9:27 am Thanks private 081983!!! That's the thing....bricks, kitchen...we kind of have a vague idea (but love your idea of taking photos to show them)....but what are the "other selections"? Is there a list that will list out all the decisions we have to make on the day so I can go through it? I keep thinking I'm missing something, or some detail that will need more research? What do you consider to be ones that "needs more research"? Re: Mojo Homes 816Feb 22, 2017 9:34 am BruceThatGuy So I have checked the FB page and it looks like there are a lot of people having problems with Mojo and the Shieke\Luxe facade! Hey Mr That Guy, Keep in mind the FB page is very negative. A few of us have been booted from the page as we questioned the root cause of the issue. It seems a fair number of the negative posts are not Mojo's fault, but rather the customer not reading the contract, or understanding the build process. That said, I'm not saying your issue is not a valid one. I hope it is resolved for you. Re: Mojo Homes 817Feb 22, 2017 9:36 am happychild123 Thanks private 081983!!! You need to select everything, Carpet Tiles Door Windows, windows color Locks Bathroom design Sink, etc You can have look in your mojo home color pack. Good that go to one of the display home and find out what you like and how to put those think in your home. Everything you need to select and they also give some idea too. Finally that's your home and your one living.. Re: Mojo Homes 818Feb 22, 2017 9:36 am ja-mez Bricks??? Pretty sure they are all hebel render unless you asked specifically for it to be bricks and its itemised in your tender Dont ask for brick! Others builders charge more for herbal Re: Mojo Homes 820Feb 22, 2017 9:45 am happychild123 We have our colors in 2 weeks. Freaking out as we haven't done our homework as much as we should have. Any tips or ideas as to how to do it all in the next week or so? Feeling overwhelmed!! would love to see pictures of all your bathrooms and kitchens and wall colors too!! TIA We didnt do too much homework. When I built 10 years ago, the "builders range" was horrible. You needed to upgrade everything (at a cost). The builders range Mojo offer is pretty good. Tapware is pretty limited, but still decent quality and on trend. The tiles and carpet range is ok. We went with the printed timber vinyl floor thinking it would cost a bomb extra. Turned out to be less than a $1000 "upgrade" The girls in the colour studio will help you pick colours that compliment. We had our idea on colours, and once they put it all together, our consultant, said "ok, thats nice" but we could tell she wanted change it up. We told her to show us what she would pick, She lit up like a firecracker, ran around getting samples and came back with a better colour scheme.
