Re: Simonds Harcrest - Adelaide Build 502Jan 05, 2016 11:00 pm So I guess I should expect to get one of these ads soon ^ Dissapointed I didn't get a tank retaining wall ad Re: Simonds Harcrest - Adelaide Build 503Jan 10, 2016 9:52 am So we have been in our home for nearly three weeks......Festive season, school holidays and constant heatwaves so progress is slow. Up until last weekend it felt like a luxury hotel and then we began unpacking boxes we had lived without for over a year - now looking and feeling homely. Loved the hotel but with no personal items its not a home. Still so much has to find its appropriate place but until then some things in cupboards and displays are hidden or in a temporary place. A few photos of rooms nearly finished. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ One side of Ensuite. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Main bathroom. Thanks for pics - been curious Re: Simonds Harcrest - Adelaide Build 506Jan 15, 2016 4:19 pm Re: Simonds Harcrest - Adelaide Build 508Jan 15, 2016 8:54 pm House looks so amazing Pam. You described our situation perfectly - house was luxurious and hotel like and now all our stuff (cough cough crap) has found its place looking more homely but still aiming for modern luxe (haha.....kids have other ideas). The heat and the xmas break meant not much has happened here. Sheers look great - we have shelved ours for the moment... Re: Simonds Harcrest - Adelaide Build 513Jan 30, 2016 7:20 pm Was looking at the kitchen cleaners today in the supermarket and decided to google recommended cleaners for ceasarstone. I found a forum post about registering your ceasarstone. So I have just completed a form online via this webpage http://www.caesarstone.com.au/about-us/support Apparently as well as warranty they will send you a complimentary cleaning pack to look after your tops. Worth looking into 😊 Lovin the cooler weather here in Adelaide has allowed me to unpack a few more items and rearrange others. Have found a few more issues that will need fixing at the three month mark but nothing major 😊 HOPE all is well for everyone else. 😊 Re: Simonds Harcrest - Adelaide Build 514Jan 31, 2016 12:40 pm Took a drive to Mt Barker to look at the new show homes including the Harcrest. We built from the plan and had concerns about the bulkhead in the lounge at the front of the home. We had talked about visiting the Melbourne show home if and when they built one to help us make the decision however it never happened and the new Mt Barker was running along the same time line as us so never got to check it out. SO PLEASED WE DIDN'T GET TO VIEW BEFORE OR WE NOT HAVE BUILT IT!!! The show home is dark and therefore seems small, interior choices are African inspired and close the rooms off. The exterior is a different front to ours and again Im not a fan. Grey render and front white painted wooden windows all mean maintenance = $$$ I did chuckle though as in the Ensuite there is a tiled bench in the shower......funny they had no idea about them when i asked for one now apparently more people are asking for them now Heres a few pictures Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ So love our Harcrest and will love its neutral palate for many years to come. I just registered ours (and got to enter our new address for shipping ?). You don't need the serial number to register which is handy since I was at my ILs when I filled the form out. We don't like our design's show home -- think its awful. Though I quite like that moody theme a LOT haha, I could easily live in that. Don't like the facade much but it's not horrible. That's the Baltimore facade. I much prefer ours Pam Good to hear from you. Your home is gorgeous thanks for reminding me about the Cesarstone. Re: Simonds Harcrest - Adelaide Build 517Jan 31, 2016 1:16 pm PS I'm totally underwhelmed with the Scandi style. After spending nearly a week in beautiful Bangkok hotel ... Oh my goodness - what an 'ensuite' - I felt like a queen. Now this hotel (Stockholm, Sweden) is the pits.. Spartan/bare/lifeless/basic/cold/boring. This is the epicentre of 'Scandi' Re: Simonds Harcrest - Adelaide Build 518Jan 31, 2016 1:17 pm Hey aussiepam1327, I completely agree with the new Simonds display. We were very interested in going with Simonds Como simply due to price/quality of upgrades but after walking through the display completely crossed them off the list. Im not sure why they went OTT with the style, should have pared it back more. I mean there were skull heads in the kids bedrooms... Building in Springlake Mount Barker SA Re: Simonds Harcrest - Adelaide Build 519Jan 31, 2016 9:32 pm Hi Pam, your house façade is so much more lovely - they should have copied you!. Your house looks lovely and the curtains look fantastic. Re: Simonds Harcrest - Adelaide Build 520Feb 21, 2016 8:20 am Look - I had to show my latest household gadget I love it!! Having used clothes horses for many years and more recently since moving in and having no outside clothes line having to use the horses for all washing had to find a solution. Our dryer will be installed in the garage but I am not one for using it as they are costly and not environmentally friendly. When building I had already told hubby I expected an inside clothes line (eventually when garden design complete we will install an outside line too) possibly one of those that folds down against the wall and when needed lifts up however we realised this would limit usable space in the laundry as well as walking through. So I started googling and came across http://www.theclotheslinestore.com.au and their range of ceiling airers. We chose this one and hubby installed it yesterday. Love it - all I need now is to find a way to enjoy ironing Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Building a new home, and looking for a garage builder (home builder not contracted to do this).
