Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Building a Sekisui house West Wallsend 41Mar 20, 2015 3:46 pm Well today I spoke to our colour consultant and have out why there is a limited range of haymes paints in the builders selection. The builders selection can be applied with a two coat system while all others require 2 top coats. Hate to think how much extra an extra coat of paint would cost. We have decided not to worry about an external garage door as we will have shed in the back yard for lawn equipment. For the same reasons that they could only guarantee coverage with two coats with the colours they had. If we went 3 coats (we got an estimate) we could choose from any colour! We decided no 3rd coat... Re: Building a Sekisui house West Wallsend 43Mar 20, 2015 5:20 pm Do you mind me asking how much the third coat would have been. There really is a very limited range! Were you able to find one you liked? How else did the colour meeting go? Was it with Hayley? She's ours as well and is lovely. I emailed her a couple times today Re: Building a Sekisui house West Wallsend 45Mar 20, 2015 7:12 pm Colour meeting is on the 31st just sent a few emails since our pre colour appointment last year. As for internal colours I like sooth ,polar bear and another one which is aura its not on the selection pamphlet but Hayley says we can use it. Building a sekisui house in Holmesville NSW viewtopic.php?f=31&t=75060 Re: Building a Sekisui house West Wallsend 46Mar 20, 2015 7:19 pm They're lovely colours. I nearly picked polar bear today but ended up going with surfmist, which apparently you can do for outside colours. I wanted a bright white, which they don't have. So if we don't like it I'll repaint it later. Aura is nice! Online it looks grey like Soothe but a couple shades darker? Re: Building a Sekisui house West Wallsend 47Mar 20, 2015 10:39 pm mim_feher Do you mind me asking how much the third coat would have been. The quote was for $1974. But it was a while ago so probably gone up! I'm not familiar with anything inside! The exterior colours I know as I've done most of the same Re: Building a Sekisui house West Wallsend 50Mar 24, 2015 7:42 pm So I finally got around to organising some pics. Laundry cabinet will probably be the same as the island bench. But not decided as of yet. Re: Building a Sekisui house West Wallsend 53Mar 24, 2015 7:53 pm Yes it is slightly darker, hard to tell sometimes I am not the best as picture taking. I like the one on the left too. But there is hardly any difference... is it textured or smooth? and what do you prefer? Re: Building a Sekisui house West Wallsend 56Mar 24, 2015 8:49 pm The cupboards and draws will be the white colour shown with the picture, the problem is I like both and keep changing my mind. But I've no doubt both will look great Re: Building a Sekisui house West Wallsend 58Mar 25, 2015 10:10 am Lol thanks Cat, I think it must depend on my hormonal levels or something because one day I like one and then 2 days later I like the other. Maybe I should just both to the colour consult meeting next week and she can decide lol.
