We paid the laying charge for out whole house noosa 26 plus floor to ceiling tiling in both bathrooms for about $4500 No idea on bricks... (Seems odd that I'm asking that question- thought the day would never come!) So I've been told my final walk through is 6 Dec and PCI is a few days after... I don't know why but I thought the final payment was at handover. Just realised it is PCI so I absolutely won't be handing over a cheque until I'm totally happy. If on the day the house isn't at practical completion or I say I don't believe it is, do I just not hand over the cheque? Or is this supposed to be covered at the final walk through before PCI? What is there are still too many little things that need fixing but technically nothing that makes the house uninhabitable? When did you notify your bank and what did they have to do on their end? What can go wrong with the bank or the process that would be good to know? Finally, when is the OC organised by Coral? Thank you SO MUCH! C U S T O M. C O R A L. My broker organised for me to pick up the cheque the day before handover. **** branch I went to though, they apparently didnt know anything about, the new young fella at the counter didnt know what to do and the older experienced lady stuffed it up! Have been following your house again lately and am amazed at it's magnificence! Fingers crossed that Santa will see you there, even if you're squatting because all the removalists have gone on vacation! Re final payment, Like Von, we didn't have any formal walk throughs except PCI and Handover. Final payment had to be made at handover. ( Ours may have been different as we paid cash and there was no bank loan involved.) Hubby queried the final amount and we were told that unless it was paid on the spot, SS couldn't hand over the keys. Luckily, when we checked it, it was indeed correct, so no problems. There was no suggestion that final payment had to be made at P.C.I. We wanted to do All tapware All internal door handles And cupboard handles viewtopic.php?f=31&t=85653&p=1642230#p1642230 We are owner supplying all tapware including shower heads etc. We got a credit for the included tapware (they would have kept an allowance of $$ for install), then we purchased our own. Keep in mind they will need these items handed to them at plumbing rough in (around the time that the frame is up) so you would need to make sure you've purchased them early enough into the build. Coral are keeping ours at their office until they are ready to install. We are also owner supplying towel rails etc, they haven't asked for them yet, I'm assuming they'll contact us when they are ready to install them. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 14612 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 4583 |
