My hubby hates niches but our shower is double size with head only at one end so thought perhaps a ledge at the other end to put stuff on rather than floor or caddy. Have been quoted $430 or close to and wondered what others were charged (knowing how much things differ) TIA We are getting a step and a niche. They are charging us $266 (see 26-9 in pic). Need to decide between laminate /tiles asap ! TIA Re: Coral Homes general build thread 7067Jan 24, 2017 1:59 pm BrownDog77 Hey everyone for those that chose laminate flooring was there many options in colours in standard range? Need to decide between laminate /tiles asap ! TIA Hi, i cant remember how many were available in the show room but I would think you would be able to find a nice one to suit many styles. I have heard people say the can rip eg moving fridges etc so we decided to upgrade to engendered timber at an extra 6k. We are still in ealry stages and not yet selected tiles etc. I think the bigger question is if you would be happy with the product once you live with it. For this reason we will be going with tiles there are a few nice wood grains we like for the main flooring. Some are wood look in the gold and silver range and are very nice and will be long lasting. Thanks for your help. We are trying to avoid tiles if possible as we have had them in our last 7 houses (we move a lot) this house will more than likely only be lived in 12mths before we move again so would prefer laminate as removal is easier if damaged if we need to & replacing cheaper also. Just hoping there are some okay colours to choose from without having to upgrade Re: Coral Homes general build thread 7069Jan 24, 2017 3:27 pm BrownDog77 bribiebell BrownDog77 Hey everyone for those that chose laminate flooring was there many options in colours in standard range? Would have been about a dozen or so that were in the included range from memory. I think you will be able to find something you like. Hopfully someone who has selected them can give you a better guide then me but if noone responds in time I think you will be fine to take the risk Re: Coral Homes general build thread 7070Jan 24, 2017 3:28 pm bribiebell BrownDog77 bribiebell [quote="BrownDog77"]Hey everyone for those that chose laminate flooring was there many options in colours in standard range? Need to decide between laminate /tiles asap ! TIA if you get to colour selections and you don't like any, you can ask them to remove it (we nearly did this until we saw the one we finally picked) and then you'd just pick a floor tile as well at your tile appointment. I don't think you'll have any dramas as we are SO happy with ours now that they've been laid. Just schedule your tile appointment after your colour appointment that way you know that you have back up.
