Browse Forums Building A New House Re: our 1st build with 8homes in SE(PCI booked on 22nd feb) 361Feb 23, 2016 4:36 pm How did your PCI go jang? Re: our 1st build with 8homes in SE(PCI booked on 22nd feb) 362Feb 25, 2016 2:37 pm We had our PCI on monday. Was very dissapointed to find out that there are around 40 faults that had to be rectified.Dave from darbecca did a fantastic job by finding those faults. Thankfully none of them were major. But now they have to change the balcony door. Do another coat for the entry door.change the powder room vanity benchtop as it has been overcut. Balcony tiling has a slope towards the door similarly shower niche has a slope towards inside . So many paint touch ups. And still more. The builder still cannot give me handover date or even when these works will be rectified. Our Occupancy certificate has also not passed the inspection and there are still works pending. But there is no one in the site for past three days. Our contract ends next week. Our building journey has just been so bad with eighthomes now. They really dont care for the owners. I only got a call from admin today and told us that construction manager will look into our defects next week and then once all defects been rectified our pcs will be booked then only will be issued occupancy certificate and invoice. Now i seriously doubt even if this building journey going to come to an end or ongoing for ages..i was told occupancy certificate was applied last month, only now i came to know that it has not passed and still works pending. Sorry for my long vents friends. Its just so frustrating. And here are some photos that i had on PCI Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: our 1st build with 8homes in SE(PCI booked on 22nd feb) 363Feb 25, 2016 2:42 pm Sorry to hear of the issues you are having. Your place still looks great! Once you are in your house it will be as if these issues did not happen and you will enjoy your new place. Hopefully they don't take long and just fix it up Re: our 1st build with 8homes in SE(PCI booked on 22nd feb) 364Feb 25, 2016 2:49 pm jillybug Sorry to hear of the issues you are having. Your place still looks great! Once you are in your house it will be as if these issues did not happen and you will enjoy your new place. Hopefully they don't take long and just fix it up Thank you Jillybug. Hope so and also eagerly waiting for those days. But how long did it take for you from pci to handover. Because in the contract it says they will rectify issues within 21 days. Just worried how long it is going to take. Re: our 1st build with 8homes in SE(PCI booked on 22nd feb) 365Feb 25, 2016 2:52 pm We had minor issues like painting to be redone so it was ready for us within a week. However we had a financial dispute with head office so it took longer for us to get the keys. I think it took us four weeks because of the financial dispute we had with the builder. Re: our 1st build with 8homes in SE(PCI booked on 22nd feb) 366Feb 25, 2016 2:52 pm Jang your house looks beautiful. I feel for you regarding the troubles with PCI and handover but you are doing the right thing. We let the painting slide & had them fix it twice since handover & it's still crap so now we've decided we will fix it ourselves eventually. I think it's crazy that they aren't doing to anything till next week though and they haven't been on site for 3 days.... Re: our 1st build with 8homes in SE(PCI booked on 22nd feb) 367Feb 25, 2016 3:35 pm Such a shame as everything looks good, I can't believe construction manager is only going to look into the list next week, what are they thinking?!! Keep the pressure on them and hopefully it won't take too long to rectify. Btw love love love your undermount basins! Absolutely gorgeous! ! Second Build, this time with Carlisle 2016, can't wait! Keep the pressure on them and hopefully it won't take too long to rectify. Btw love love love your undermount basins! Absolutely gorgeous! ! Thank you PEARZ am happy that it all worked well together. Yes PEARZ we can't either believe that they would delay this long and also did not expect these many faults. However i could only hope they will fix those issues sooner. Just wondering in the contract it says 21 days to rectify issues found in PCI what will happen if they take even longer. And also how do we know if the builder have really got occupancy certificate or they simply delaying. Just can't trust them anymore. How is your new build going on? Which builder are you going with and have you got a new thread? Re: our 1st build with 8homes in SE(PCI booked on 22nd feb) 371Feb 27, 2016 12:43 am Thank You Jillybug , Simone, and Petad for your lovely comments about the house. And also as all of you said I can only hope and pray to have the handover sooner. They do not give the contact number of their manager or some higher authority to complain. it has only been the clo that i have spoke to till now. Such a shame they have got a poor customer service.. Which builder are you going with and have you got a new thread? Had any luck since last week? Regarding your COO i suppose you can try and call the surveyor who approved/issued your building permit and ask if they can tell you... but apparently some of them won't talk to you even though that's a little silly as the permit is for builder on behalf of you or something like that... My build has not started, got my color selection tomorrow, nervous! Second Build, this time with Carlisle 2016, can't wait! Can they simply take their own time to rectify those issues. Am thinking of either going to consumer affairs or a solicitor. As they do not let me even speak to the manager which i have been asking for like 3 months now. Will try my luck for the coo. And also gud luck with your colour appointment. Got a new thread to follow? Got a new thread to follow? Very bad customer service I would definitely be complaining about it, do they have a facebook page or something that you can leave comments on etc? Or customer service email address you can email your experience and maybe they'll push it through to the manager? Someone did that with Henley and it worked. Good luck, so close to the end. I hope you get there very soon and not have to deal with people like this again. Sorry my new thread is viewtopic.php?f=31&t=81175 Not much happening finding I'm too busy to put much on haha!
