But oh well they still look amazing! My cousin got their security doors through bugs no more for around 800 to 1000 each. Or a friend recommended phenix screens to us from seaford. Haven't got any quotes yet though sorry. Definitely need one if your going to have a dryer. Re: Newport 309 - First home :) 273Dec 13, 2014 6:25 pm Simone you settled in quickly. Blinds look good. Hope the delivery of the appliances arrive soon. I bet you are thinking "aircon is needed today". Nice couch ... Will look awesome in your huge space. Re: Newport 309 - First home :) 274Dec 13, 2014 7:18 pm Thanks Jill Appliances didn't go smoothly Firstly I had a text saying the delivery driver would call me an hour before delivery. Well we were in bunnings at 4:45 and the delivery driver calls to say he is at the house. So delivery time isn't till between 5 & 7 so I said we will be there in 10. He said that was fine. We get there in 10 and no truck anywhere to be seen. They aren't answering my call. Wait an hour and hubby calls them. They finally answered and had gone to do someone elses delivery. They arrived within 5 minutes of the call and then it went downhill again.......I have to double check my receipts as apparantly installation wasn't on their sheets. So they brought the washing machine in and put the box on the tiles and pushed it into the laundry. They did the same with the dishwasher pushing it into the kitchen. Finally the fridge.....yes its a giant box but seriously these guys are paid to do a job.....they hit a wall leaving a mark then hit one of our archways into the kitchen & then said cya. Trying to get foam out from underneath dishwasher & washing machine wasn't easy but god doing it with a very heavy fridge was hell! And lastly the fridge attachments for the water are for a tap and don't fit the water point the builder put in.... We will go get an attachment tonight from my mums partner that hopefully works. Anyways here are the appliances & microwave & toaster we bought today Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ No washing machine photo yet as the hubby is trying to attach all the hoses Re: Newport 309 - First home :) 277Dec 14, 2014 4:09 am wow simone your house and your things all are coming along very nicely. just love everything in your house. you have got a nice fridge. these people cant they just install them for free when you spend so spend sov much on their things from their shop. Re: Newport 309 - First home :) 278Dec 14, 2014 5:59 pm Thanks jill & jang our fridge will stick out a little bit as the cavity isn't as deep as the fridge. I know right....I'm going to be lodging a complaint with jb and see what happens. Fridge is now hooked up finally...after 1 or 2 leaks eeek. We got 3 big items through them for over 4,000 and they can't chuck in installation or delivery its ridiculous. Went shopping today and got our christmas tree will post a photo tonight I thought I may get sick with lack of sleep and so much dust and dirt...my hayfever is so crazy right now I had a bath just before but because of my sinuses couldnt relax and got way too hot. However I do love my bath here's a pic! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Oh and hubby vacuumed the whole house today says it took him 20 minutes love our dyson so far. Dishwasher is in as well but sticks out too Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Bench is getting fuller Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Table decorating Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ And btw I would recommend the microwave we bought Ive only used it once but works great, is quiet and the door shuts easily and quiet as well. Do we have the same toaster jill? Btw we are also thinking of getting crushed rock for now until we can afford the drive way, at least to stop flooding...melbourne weather don't know what to expect. Re: Newport 309 - First home :) 279Dec 14, 2014 7:00 pm Yep i have the same toaster. Great minds think alike. I support you complaining to JB. You spent quite a bit of money to get such shocking service. Love all your stuff. What brand dishwasher did you get? I need to do shopping and I have no idea which is best. Your bath is just the mostest!! In my next house I am definitely getting a free standing bath. It looks awesome! Enjoy it Re: Newport 309 - First home :) 280Dec 14, 2014 7:11 pm Twinning We have an LG dishwasher will let you know how it goes will probably do our first wash tonight. we had someone recommend LG to us & I liked the design as it has a cutlery draw in it & I liked the look of it & JB did a pretty good price for it. However my mum bought a cheaper similiar one just different brand(elfa) & I don't think she has any complaints for hers and it was half the price. Hehe everyone who sees photos of the bath say the same thing For some reason it was one of the main things I didn't want to budge on lol Originally in the house plan they didn't have one. So still no slab and apparently the concreter cancelled. Here come the delays... apparently things haven't recovered quite as much as I thought. I've been told maybe next… 8 31910 We already paid for somfy motors for the blinds. The quote above was purely for “pre-wiring” so the blinds company can install the motors and blinds.
