Re: homestart the accolade dawesville - roof timbers started 42Jan 23, 2015 7:24 pm Our bricks started last week. I have a thread of my own but I am yet to update it since the brick action Re: homestart the accolade dawesville - roof timbers started 43Jan 23, 2015 8:45 pm Hey AlrightDave Was coming to see where you were at now. We found that even though the grey float is dark, the house still felt bigger as it was no longer bricks Fingers crossed for lockup soon My build thread https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70655&p=1164017#p1164017 Our House is full of magical things patiently waiting for our Home to be built Re: homestart the accolade dawesville - roof timbers started 44Jan 23, 2015 10:02 pm Hi vetty, I did a post earliest but accidentally deleted it.. I was going to say that if we had half the progress that you've had since Xmas we would be really pleased. Your build is motoring along and the Windows look really good. I'm not sure if we have glass yet although we had some to the front door frame before Xmas. We got given 60 days to vacate our rental (3 x years) a month before crimbo so haven't had the time to see the house. We have moved into a new place now but paying two lots of rent for three weeks, finding a deposit plus loan payments has been a mission oh and presents.... Hopefully this will be the last time we ever rent.. I like to think that in six months time we will be in our own place, and if if happens before then its a bonus. Re: homestart the accolade dawesville - roof timbers started 45Jan 24, 2015 11:41 pm In my situation i would like to rent! Call me crazy, but its so crazy living with inlaws at the moment! We are building in Florida Beach on Kellerberin Turn. We've gone with Aussie Living and building the Origin Home. Super excited to have pre-start tomorrow morning, and was jumping on here to make some last minute colour decisions when I stumbled on this post! Dave I love your brick colour! We have been tossing up Shale as one of our options too. We're going a Shale Grey C/B roof and at this stage Dune render, so hoping this will all work. I'll probably change my mind once i get to the showroom tomorrow and see them all together! Haha. I love Dawesville - such a great area. Looking forward to following your build. Hopefully we can start adding our own blog sometime very soon! Re: homestart the accolade dawesville - roof timbers started 49Jan 26, 2015 10:59 pm Start a thread we are also building in dawesville, great area and the new iga opened on the weekend and looked good Our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70984 Re: homestart the accolade dawesville - roof timbers started 50Jan 27, 2015 12:05 am Hi niksstar, you chose a nice area. How big is your block? Aren't they big ones there. Look forward to reading your blog and good luck for prestart tomorrow. Re: homestart the accolade dawesville - roof timbers started 52Jan 27, 2015 12:07 am Archetto, I'm looking forward to seeing your slab pics this week. How long before you can start the frame? Re: homestart the accolade dawesville - roof timbers started 53Jan 27, 2015 3:04 pm We're next to the schools there. (Which is brilliant as I teach there) Our block is 660sqm and a corner block with a quiet little lane running down the side. Prestart was great fun! Although they somehow underquoted us over $1000 in our PS for the flooring which means we have to now come up with the difference ourselves now that finance is already approved. Four weeks and we'll be in construction they say. ( though I'm not holding my breath!) Re: homestart the accolade dawesville - roof timbers started 54Jan 27, 2015 3:14 pm Glad it went well, now you have plenty of info to start your own thread. Oh AlrighDave that sucks I think that if they have given you a notice to vacate then they should just accept the date you move out and not make you pay until the official end date I have everything crossed that your build starts powering along and I'll be honest.... If it takes another 6months before we are in our homes I will be CRANKY Ooh and we were considering Dawesville due to the beautiful location and big blocks for less but alas, there wasn't sufficient Before/After School Care available to make it work for us MrsTerry In my situation i would like to rent! Call me crazy, but its so crazy living with inlaws at the moment! We have been here for 9months and it is driving us insane!! Hahaha Oh MrsTerry I am so hearing ya and We've only been with my parents for 4months, freaking counting down the days (up until 2years ago I didn't even live in the same state as my family so it's certainly been a difficult transition) My build thread https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70655&p=1164017#p1164017 Our House is full of magical things patiently waiting for our Home to be built Re: homestart the accolade dawesville - roof timbers started 56Jan 27, 2015 4:59 pm Not sure AlrightDave, maybe by the end of this week if they pour the slab this week like planned, otherwise I guess the following week? Unfortunately they aren't using our nominated carpenter now for the upper floor frame work which is a bit annoying. How is your block looking, any earthworks yet? Re: homestart the accolade dawesville - roof timbers started 60Jan 27, 2015 9:05 pm If by earthworks you mean house across the street dumping a few loads of waste dirt on my block then yes, it's coming along nicely Nah, just waiting for pre start date, then we'll see Your house should come in "as new" condition. It should be clean, and without stains 1 4855 Hi Need to read your contract about when final payment is received. Clearly outlines what happens.
