Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Ben Trager Sunshine Burns Beach Build 21Aug 14, 2014 10:54 pm Oh. Not good! We didn't have to wait very long for our brickies. Just a couple of weeks. However, we're SoR so things may be different down here. Re: Ben Trager Sunshine Burns Beach Build 23Aug 15, 2014 9:20 am That's pretty standard right now. My Thread (Halls Head Beach House): viewtopic.php?f=31&t=67006 Re: Ben Trager Sunshine Burns Beach Build 25Aug 15, 2014 9:49 am ronfire Hi Druid1, slab down is great! Just a curious q - how long did it take the Council (joondalup) to approve your plans? I'm presuming that approval was sought after final plans on 1 July? Ours took 3 days from Joondalup council. Re: Ben Trager Sunshine Burns Beach Build 29Aug 15, 2014 10:06 pm oncewerefurriers Druid1 Soak wells went in today Did you do them yourselves? No, paid BTH to do them for piece of mind on the building guarantee. Re: Ben Trager Sunshine Burns Beach Build 30Aug 15, 2014 10:51 pm How strange! We've only just had ours fitted and were nearly a year since slab down. Their scheduling seems weird at times. Different builds get things done at different times? Re: Ben Trager Sunshine Burns Beach Build 31Aug 15, 2014 11:10 pm I think it depends on space available on the block; we've been told that ours will go in right st the start cos it would be hard to do it after because our block is not too large. Same as us, not a very large block & maybe they just filling in and moving the schedule around to try make up time while they wait for brickies, I'm not happy because they have delivered the window & door frames, now that are just going to be kicked around for 8 weeks, they better not get damaged. Re: Ben Trager Sunshine Burns Beach Build 33Aug 18, 2014 6:18 pm Don't understand why they leave them there that long. Surely they can schedule their deliveries correctly? If they do get damaged, isn't that the builder's responsibility to replace? Re: Ben Trager Sunshine Burns Beach Build 38Aug 25, 2014 9:35 pm Dewish The BT house up the road is going up already, if your lucky they might head to yours straight after.... but if they have said 6-8 week wait probably not! That's what I'm hoping, but that house had a long wait for the brickies as well, all of the BT homes have started, so hopefully the tradies will just move from house to house Re: Ben Trager Sunshine Burns Beach Build 39Aug 25, 2014 9:38 pm Dewish The BT house up the road is going up already, if your lucky they might head to yours straight after.... but if they have said 6-8 week wait probably not! How's your progress ? Did you get council approval? Re: Ben Trager Sunshine Burns Beach Build 40Aug 25, 2014 11:27 pm Yeah all approved ! Had a dunny delivered last week and site works done. The Rio mesh stuff for the slab has been delivered and now footings were dug today. Fingers crossed for slab this week!
