It is frustrating . they were about to put my spa in and realized that they wouldn't be able to do bath hob . so they had to take out my nib wall in my shower and move it a brick over which made my shower smaller .or I could is had a smaller bath . you do have to wonder sometimes . Funny you say that Melsie, coz I reckon the shower is about 2 inches bigger than it should have been. Would be a bonus except for the complete bodge job it has created at the other end. I think our tiler would literally pull his hair out if they knocked down the nib wall and moved cabinets across. I imagine that would mean he would have to do a whole heap all over again. Re: Summit build in the South West - Smexy Rangehood!! 704Nov 02, 2014 12:56 am belzey hmm what have they said in regards to the ridge capping Rache? I would not be happy with that and I would personally want it redone!! The SS is going to bring his boss out to look at it belzey. We would like it replaced, which would mean they would need to use longer tech screws, otherwise it would compromise the strength of the roof I am told. They will be very reluctant, however I have told the SS I didn't negotiate when our quote for the build was made and we are paying top dollar and expect a top job. I wish I wasn't so damn naïve re building - I thought we were getting a great deal, but had no idea re site costs and all the upgrades and things not included etc. Way over budget as a result unfortunately.. building's a bit like having a baby - you have no idea what you're doing or what to expect, and I reckon you'd be so much better at it the next time!!! Melsie68 They had so much fun and it was great just to spend some time with them . Your littlies look gorgeous Melsie! Looks like your household got into the Halloween spirit. So cool you had a heap of fun too - thanks for sharing your photos with us. Re: Summit build in the South West - Smexy Rangehood!! 705Nov 02, 2014 1:11 am That could explain why . have you measured it . I'm sure they will work it out . oh yeah we had to move cabinets over .then the power point had to be put back in the middle . all that for a spa that didn't fit Re: Summit build in the South West - Smexy Rangehood!! 706Nov 02, 2014 1:31 am Melsie68 That could explain why . have you measured it . Did they move everything before or after the tiling though? Re: Summit build in the South West - Smexy Rangehood!! 708Nov 02, 2014 12:46 pm Ok. That would be an easier fix. Tiler has finished all the tiling in there minus the grouting! The whole reason you have everything flush is so you don't have those gaps for dust and cobwebs. I really don't know how they will fix it, but my SS is a cabinet maker by trade so hopefully he will be able to come up with something. Re: Summit build in the South West - Tiling nearly done pics 709Nov 02, 2014 7:10 pm Just a quick update. Our lovely tiler has been hard at it all weekend again. I am adding your statement about not negotiating so expecting a top quality job to my book of one-liners for HGWA, it's spot on.
