Re: Plantation Sahara Q2 in SEQ Brisbane - Our Build Thread 85Jul 05, 2015 6:14 pm poohbear, love your kitchen! What's the color of your underbench cabinets? Is it polar white for the overhead cabinets? In what finish? Interesting to find your ensuite toilet in a glass enclosure. Did Plantation actually do it? I asked Henley about the similar glass enclosure but they said they couldn't do it.. Thanks for your comments, regarding the kitchen... the underbench are licorice linea with laminex natural finish the overhead are parchment with laminex silk finish regarding the ensuite toilet, it was kind of an ambitious thing, they said they never done it before...and this is their first attempt... maybe it wasn't worth the effort for them? Re: Plantation Sahara Q2 in SEQ Brisbane - Our Build Thread 87Jul 05, 2015 10:33 pm Thought i give a delayed update, given things in life/family....no time to do this sort of stuff...so i will try and do a "catchup"! Love Laminex licorice linea! Will consider it as our cabinet color too Is the whole wall of cabinet towers parchment too? Thought they are polar white as they look whiter than parchment in my impression We chose polar white but now are worried because if yours are parchment, our polar white would look even whiter which might be too white... Regarding the glass enclosure, Henley wouldn't do it for us, we might do it post handover.. Did you mention your door is 1050mm wide? But is it still a hinged door? Henley said the widest hinged door they would offer is 920mm, anything wider will have to be pivot... And are your timber stacker doors rich chocolate? Yeah the parchment might be slightly less white in colour when you see it in person... Maybe see if there's a display house near your area that has something similar? The small laminex doesn't give a good representation sometimes... As for the front door yes its 1050mm and hinge. Maybe they changed their specification? So need to have hinge? I'd get a nice wide door at the front if your could. The stackers are rich chocolate .. Hope that helps! Do you have a build thread happening yet ? No not yet... still waiting for the contract to be signed Pivot doors are much more expensive (they are pretty nice of cause) than hinged doors. I'd be happy getting a 1050mm wide hinged front door. It's more cost effective and in fact, a 1200mm wide pivot door would have an actually openning width of around 1000-1050mm (because of the way it opens). A 1050mm hinged door could have 1000mm actual opening width too (excluding the door thickness).. But my understanding is Henley wouldn't do hinged doors wider than 920mm Re: Plantation Sahara Q2 in SEQ Brisbane - Our Build Thread 92Jul 06, 2015 4:44 pm Hey next, check out the 1.2m pivot door with a 2100 mm high entry, theyre only approx $1500, thats what they charged me... the 2.4m high doors are quite expensive... Nestaxu, we built the beckham (discontinued now) but our front door was 1050 hinged so it is definitely possible, but might be plan specific? Is this for the palace? Depressing to know they wont consider it as i also would have increased it to 1050 wide and high! Second Build, this time with Carlisle 2016, can't wait! We wanted a maintainence free garden - so is going with some synthetic turf and hopefully some rectangular shaped pavers in between. Plants is a bit hard for me as i have no plant knowledge whatsoever, so will have to investigate what will look good and also what will actually grow in the front area. This is the turf that looks most natural in my opinion.. Re: Plantation Sahara Q2 in SEQ - Landscaping is slow 99Jul 08, 2015 10:25 pm Blinds.. Took a while before we decided to go with these simple roller blinds. had a 40% off from spotlight, ended up about 2k ish for the whole house. Last time I heard from Henley about this was in the color selection, the color consultant said any door wider than 920 would have to be pivot, and in my impression I had heard the similar thing from other color consultants as well before the color selection. But based on your 1050 hinged door, I will check again with our admin I’m curious about how you went with this. We are planning a KDRB and considering Plantation Homes as a builder. I’m aware that after the demolition another soil test… 1 6328 You can put a roller blind behind the shutters.
