Just a little worried about prestart costs as the budget is running out fast!!! Re: First build, Redink 2Jul 11, 2014 11:57 pm Hi Im building with Redink also lots of us on here. Which design have you chosen?? Feel free to ask any questions and pricing etc. Re: First build, Redink 5Jul 12, 2014 12:30 am Hi chateau, welcome ! We are building a version of the Chateau/Hamlin in Helena Valley. We are at plate height, and waiting for our roof to begin. As it is only the two of us, we made heaps of changes to the original plan, and also had to make the frontage narrower to fit onto our block. We are extremely happy with what our salesperson came up with, and with Redink in general. There are lots of Redinker's on the forum, so please ask lots of questions. Everyone is very helpful. Re: First build, Redink 6Jul 12, 2014 12:37 am Thanks everyone for the posts, Kellydoug, I looked at your plan it looks really great!! I will have to look through the rest of the redink forums bit may take awhile, lol I will try to work out how to upload my floor plan, Re: First build, Redink 7Jul 12, 2014 12:44 am chateau Thanks everyone for the posts, Kellydoug, I looked at your plan it looks really great!! I will have to look through the rest of the redink forums bit may take awhile, lol I will try to work out how to upload my floor plan, There are heaps to go through, but they are all worth having a look at, as everyone has such fantastic ideas and colour selections. Would love to see your plans. You're the only other Chateau build I know of at the moment. Re: First build, Redink 8Jul 12, 2014 1:32 am So far the list of changes we hope to make at prestart are, Under mount kitchen sink, Change the vinyl sliders to glass (linen) Pots and pan draws for kitchen 15 extra power points, 2 for outside Lights to the front pillars Tile alfresco 1, instead of pave Nib wall in shower ensuit Change towel rails Mitered tiles to bathrooms Make all sliding robes 28c high instead of the std 24c Nbn package (is this needed)? Hopefully the list doesn't get to much longer!! Re: First build, Redink 9Jul 12, 2014 6:19 pm ok without getting paper work out ' Mitered tiling $400 nib wall $600 maybe not that much all 4 linen sliders upgrade around$1000 ithink a 3 set of pot draws where around $600 i hope that helps . its just from memory. redinkers out there might have to correct me . but i shouldnt be to much off Re: First build, Redink 11Jul 12, 2014 10:41 pm chateau Thanks melsie, Is the $600 just for the wall or does that cover extending the bench and cupboards over to the wall, And the sliders so does it make it $250 for each door so $500 per cupboard? Hi chateau, we paid $500 per nib and that included extending bench and cupboards and tiling of nib. Undermount sink for kitchen $480- would depend on model/size of sink. Pot drawers were about $660 per set of 3. Extra power points were $65 and single $50 Outdoor water proof double power point was $85 We upgraded all towel rails/ toilet roll holders etc was less than $200, but would depend on type. Mitred tiling was $380 Lights on front pillars- we just had Redink put in conduit, $15 ea, we are supplying lights. We upgraded standard NBN with Redink , was about $1200 I think. You can put your machine mashing taps into the cupboard under your sink in the laundry, no charge. Remember to put power points into your broom cupboard, and in your bathroom cupboards for recharging stick vacuum, toothbrushes and razors etc. Everything will be out of the way. Hope this helps. Re: First build, Redink 12Jul 13, 2014 12:47 pm Thanks very much for the help, Really like your house design Kellydoug, especially Luke the idea of putting the fridge into the wip, and gaining extra cupboard cupboards for the kitchen, After skimming all of the forums I have found a few more things to add to my wish list, Waterfall ends in the kitchen Fridge in the pantry Extra tiles to the 2nd bathroom over the bath, Can't wait for prestart so we can have all the hard decisions made and can sit down and relax. First build, Redink 13Jul 13, 2014 12:56 pm Hi chateau I'm not building with Redink but we are building with Simonds Prague. We are at fixing stage and we we have the Fridge in the walk in pantry. Fridge in pantry was just tap and power point, about 120.00 We did do some extra tiling in our bathroom, to make the vanity and bath tiling line up, was only 180.00 from memory. Re: First build, Redink 16Jul 14, 2014 8:35 pm Re: First build, Redink 19Jul 14, 2014 9:20 pm I have a fridge in my pantry . As well as in my kitchen ( big family ) I put my power point at the back . But if I did it again I would put it a bit higher than the fridge or on the ground to the side . First build, Redink 20Jul 15, 2014 12:14 am The power point will behind the fridge and another one in the pantry. in the pantry there is 5 shelves going all the way around.
