It's an absolute nightmare in the morning with 4 people trying to get ready! Well that couldnt have been more obvious Need to have a good think before I post Paula Re: The Story of Stormy's Castle. *Loooooong overdue update* 83Aug 19, 2008 9:45 pm Hi Guys,
Thought it was about time I updated this thread again! We have received 'unconditional confirmation' on our loan and all the paperwork to sign, so that is wonderful news!! We also received our first contract variation in the mail today, which was basically adjusting the mistakes that were drawn incorrectly on our contract drawings, as well as a few changes to windows once we saw the elevations. As it turns out, H3nl3y now owe us $93! Looking at moving out in approx 2 weeks, but you'd never guess by the state of my house!! There are boxes, bubble wrap and stuff everywhere, despite the storage place filling up with furniture. Thankfully, we had the hard rubbish collection this week, so we were able to get rid of a whole heap of stuff from the sheds. Gotta be happy with that!! Countdown to demo has begun!!! The packing has been underway for some months...but mainly sorting and throwing out. The serious stuff is just beginning! Although I did get a little too carried away in the kitchen and left us with 2 plates . It's amazing the amount of crap this family has collected in 12 years... Donuts, I'll try and take some good pics, but I might be too busy with teary eyes! It will be a day of mixed emotions for me...but I just have to think of the lovely 40 squares, 3 toilets, WIR and a TV point in the alfresco on the horizon! The latest photo is the footpath painting for the power pit...nothing else of interest yet! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Henley - Wilshire Mk 3 ... I love my house!! We were told we might need one of these too at our own expense of course (if they cant connect to overheads in our street)
Was this expensive to have done? My karma ran over your dogma Re: The Story of Stormy's Castle. *Loooooong overdue update* 96Aug 28, 2008 1:11 pm Yes Bel, it's an underground power pit! You should find out ASAP whether you need one or not, as it can take a while to get organised and put in!
It cost us $790.20 I have so much paperwork coming out my ears at the moment, and I've made that many phone calls organising stuff, it will be nice once things calm down a little! I might get 3 weeks relaxation before the demo Power, gas and phone are all organised to be disconnected, so I just have to empty the house now! Henley - Wilshire Mk 3 ... I love my house!! Our demo permit is in council waiting for permit.
PD said they would let us know ASAP if we need to instal the electricity pit, they said they are sending off the paperwork to let us know if we can connect to the existing overheads or if we have to do the underground pit. I prefer the look of the underground, but the overhead is included in the price How long did it take to get it all done? My karma ran over your dogma Re: The Story of Stormy's Castle. *Loooooong overdue update* 99Aug 28, 2008 9:51 pm haywgl How long did it take to get it all done? The fellas arrived at about 8:30am as I was just about to leave for the school run. An hour later when I had arrived, they had jack hammered the footpath where the pit was to go, worked out where the adjoining house's services were, dug a trench next to the electricity pole, and had started boring underground from the trench to the proposed pit hole. It wasn't a long expanse, and the ground was fairly soft. All up, they had left by about midday. They were telling me at one job they did, it took 7 hours to bore underground . I guess it all depends on the condition of the ground and how far they have to travel underground from pole to pit! Henley - Wilshire Mk 3 ... I love my house!!
