You obviously had a really good tiler, the job looks very neat. I love the floor to ceiling tiles, great contrast, love it. We are having black tiles in our shower as a feature too Thanks very much. Great minds think alike! Yeah the tiler was good though he took longer than the supervisor intended. We've just found out there's another company doing the main floors, not sure why? Perhaps timing didn't align. I`d say your tiling took longer because whoever did it has taken the time to do a good job -you must be so pleased with how everything is coming together. Your entire home looks of great quality, so I`m sure whoever does the rest of the tiling will do a good job too. Looks like you maybe getting keys just in time for Chrissy -YAY! Our Plans are in council now so our home should start January, I hope. My Homeone Thread - Re: Newcastle KDR (Sekisui) - Tiling 863Nov 27, 2015 9:02 am Fantastic news! Your home is so gorgeous. I love everything about it! You've really left us in the dust. Our tiling was supposed to start this week. Feels like we're nowhere near the end. Re: Newcastle KDR (Sekisui) - Tiling 864Nov 27, 2015 10:02 pm Thank you so much everyone! I really am completely shocked and excited about most likely being in for Christmas. I still can't bring myself to say "definitely will be" as it seems too good to be true. Seems the master bed pendants we chose aren't dimmable (whoops) but will leave them there for now, just won't dim them (as they flicker). Electricians have to come back to install all external lights fittings. We chose black rectangle ones to try make the house ... Less white DH keeps saying "it's so.. White". Ha Ordered some temporary blinds today, picking up Little Lady's new 'big girl' bed next weekend, and trying to plan window furnishings through the house. Choosing the right blind/shutter/curtain type is hard work! Going to the house on Sunday to move dirt around to make the drop off the back of the house under 190mm. If we leave it we've been warned the certifier will make us install temp stairs before he issues an interim occupation certificate which we need for the bank to pay out. We'd need a couple sets of stairs and I really couldn't be assed getting them! Re: Newcastle KDR (Sekisui) - Tiling 865Dec 01, 2015 9:51 pm We have floor tiles! Probably a blessing in disguise.. We had good intentions of lining the shed but realistically it wouldn't have happened for quite a while. Now we can use the garage. Re: Newcastle KDR (Sekisui) - Tiling 869Dec 01, 2015 10:09 pm Oh, also need splash back to kitchen. I should note I trust the SS immensely due to the SS and Mr Cat having a mutual friend. If we didn't we wouldn't have authorised payment til some of these things were completed. Perhaps still a gamble but after living with in-laws for most of the year we're really desperate to have everything sorted so we can have our own space and first Christmas in our own home.
