Thanks We have a house and land package and the driveway was included as part of the standard package Re: New Living Homes 542May 01, 2017 6:15 pm We have selected the Essentials plus package, but the driveway is a standard inclusion. Just beware of the size of the garage (and this is not just New Living Homes, but most project builders). Unless you drive a very small vehicle, you should consider extending the garage and making the garage door size bigger. Always measure!! Re: New Living Homes 543May 01, 2017 7:40 pm We are having trouble deciding on brick colours but leaning towards Chiffon, since NLH don't have any light bricks to choose from. What colours are other NLH owners choosing and has anyone gone with a non-standard brick colour? Thanks. The lighting wasn't great at the NLH colour showroom on Spring Farm. Re: New Living Homes 547May 01, 2017 9:56 pm pw1923 Hi cherryripe Thanks for your reply. What colours did you go for with your roof and garage door? We got Dune Colorbond and Surfmist garage door...tried to stick to light colours. What colours did you go with? It was included in the colour selection costs. Esp when the sun hits it coz it has sparkly bits in it. If you don't mind a different colour facade and main bricks then maybe you could consider that colour scheme I'm pretty sure that they allow you to change colours within the range without charging extra (unless you want all metallix). Just go to a Austral bricks and check out the everyday ranges, urban one and metallix ranges This is what I did and drove by all the houses that Austral bricks gave me on my sheets. In the end I ended up choosing Chiffon. Depending on the sunlight and the batch (and possible the skill of the bricklayer) it can be more grey or more brown. It is definitely not light coloured bricks. The display home at Oran Park apparently has Chiffon coloured bricks but I drove by over a dozen houses and the bricks on the houses look a lot darker. So you have to take that risk. I was originally going to go with the ultra smooth bricks for facade only but it ended up costing too much Re: New Living Homes 552May 18, 2017 12:20 pm We went with Metallix Platinum as face brick and rest are Lesuire (scheme 5) i think. Metallix platinum looked sort of greyish in color studio and light brownish at austral's display center and varies a lot when actually laid. Cant really visualize how this combo would like. I wanted to change to chiffon but they said its too late now that we are with certifier ( CDC ). I dont know what CDC has to do with brick colours as one of my friend is building with another builder had his colours done only after filing CDC. You can make changes to the tiles...you have to make an appointment with the supplier. NLH will give you their details. Same with the bricks. We mixed and matched and picked our own colours based on the colour schemes. Re: New Living Homes 560May 31, 2017 1:48 pm Thanks a lot sms14 for your response. We should communicate with rather very closely so that every one is benificial. Not the builder. Plz let me know the upgrade details with price. By the way who is ur Sales officer at willowdale. Its better to use this office as here you hv the same house, u can refer to it any time. I will be waiting for ur reply I would be wary. Is you site demilished but nothing else done? Sounds like liquidity problems to me. Our builder did the same.
