Re: PR's Build - Moved in and (almost) finished + Photos Pg 1322Jan 12, 2015 9:34 pm Hi chris , do you work for redink ? .if so its nice to have someone on here to answer questions for people building with redink . I looked at my drains and the toliet and laundry have a smaller drain thingy than the showers . Re: PR's Build - Moved in and (almost) finished + Photos Pg 1323Jan 13, 2015 11:46 am Yes I work for Redink, but as I mentioned I don't have a construction background (my background is IT). I'd recommend anyone building with Redink ask their CLO or Supervisor if they have any construction questions. I don't know the answer to your drains question, but given the information I linked to in my last post, the laundry and toilet drains are quite different to the shower drains because of the volume of water they are expected to deal with. Our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70984 Re: PR's Build - Moved in and (almost) finished + Photos Pg 1332May 01, 2015 1:11 pm Hello everyone, I'm sheepishly returning to this thread after a 5 month hiatus. Yikes, time flies. I've been lost in a wedding planning haze in that time. The poor house has been waiting to be finished. The real kicker came a few days ago when I received my 6 months maintenance email. HOW HAS IT BEEN THAT LONG ALREADY?!!! You could say that we still don't have any window furnishings... oops. We've had cardboard on the windows for 5 months! Isn't that terrible. It's always the case of "we'll do it this weekend, definitely" and then it never eventuate. Saturdays from 9-12pm is not enough time to get sh1t done! Anyway, getting back to business. Thanks for all the texts. Occasionally when I have a fleeting spare movement I've come on here to see how all your builds are going. Needless to say I've missed so much! Hope everyone has been well. Can't believe it's May... archetto Hey PR - How is the house going? Good! It's serving us very well at the moment. Although it could also do with some sprucing up. We are slowly connecting knickknacks, but its a process. Curtains/blinds are the next big (and very overdue) thing on the to-do list. justlearning Your house looks great. I love the colour of your timber floor. Thanks! I love it too. It's not as pristine as it once was. We've got a few deep scratches from some unlucky incidents, but that's to be expected when you live in a house! No use getting hung up on it. MalSannie I too love the blue couches Also the teal (?) towels in the bathroom goes really well with your colours - everything looks great, the paving, lawn, alfresco - you must be over the moon! The blue couches were an excellent hand-me-down. So comfy too! Who doesn't love a bit of teal LeanneR Blue couches work great with your splashback nofire Havent been on here for a while. Youre place looks fabulous! MUst be great to finally be in. Youre theatre looks so cosy, what paint did you use? Rache It's all looking great Pan. Can't believe how organized you guys are. You have done an awesome job. I hope we are going to see a photo of you in the 'dress'! Hehehe this makes me smile. I was so organised at the start and now I'm completely burnt out. 5 months with no blinds/curtains/shutters. Still haven't got the front wall rendered or the little slats to go between the posts. Have to buy some artwork and a rug and generally make the house more homely. Stupid wedding taking up all my time Oh and I'll definitely upload a photo of the dress when the time comes. 4 months and 3 weeks to go now! dee_77 Gorgeous Pan! So glad you are enjoying your new home, the pics looks great! So impressed with everything you have achieved in such a short amount of time. Good luck with all the wedding planning - I'm with Rache looking forward to pictures of you in your lovely dress Re: PR's Finished Build - Big Photo Update Soon! 1337Aug 24, 2015 7:20 pm Hi friends! (and probably a lot of strangers since 3 months in internet terms is an age of men) I'm sheepishly returning to this thread once again! So much had happened, good and bad. Let's skip to the highlights (and lowlights) reel: - planted up side of 30m driveway - got a front wall built - roller shutters installed - blinds and curtains ordered - got the front wall rendered - superfluous kmart shop 1 - few plants stolen! (wtf moment, happened three times) - fence inserts and gate - replaced plants - blinds installed. Well 3/5 blinds installed. One wasn't measured properly and one was damaged. Good times. - superfluous kmart shop 2 - bought a rug - ALL plants stolen (cue sadness). More on that later. - curtains installed. 2/5 need replacing due to wrong size. Hey, at least they improved on 3/5. - new master bedroom bedspread - entrance mirror - superfluous kmart shop 3 - wedding in under 5 weeks ~ * Looking into the Future * ~ 6 months Redink maintenance sometime around the 10 month mark. Correctly measured, made and installed curtains. Artwork. So that's the brief summary. As you can see there's never a dull moment! Or all dull moments(?). Depends if you find house stuff interesting. This forum made me happy, so I'm going to endeavour to post more regularly again. Things I can offer - first home building tips (particularly with Redink homes), humorous anecdotes and my charming personality. Big photo update happening soon for anyone who is interested! Hurray!
