Re: Building the Chifley with Rawson - Roof Installed 163Mar 21, 2014 3:36 pm We are so far behind, we have just received our final plan today to sign and now submit to DA! Finally!! SB, looking great always stalking your site.LOL MrsBB, good news and hopefully one straight line to the finish line! Re: Building the Chifley with Rawson - Roof Installed 164Apr 09, 2014 7:12 pm slowly, slowly on our site. Seems like the tradies turn up for half a day, do half a job, then don't come back for a few days. No we have no idea whether it is because they are waiting for supplies, but boy is it annoying. We have most of our cladding up. Hoping to be finished with external (cladding and paint) in the next week, then the scaffold can come down and the inside work will commence! Re: Building the Chifley with Rawson - Roof Installed 165Apr 13, 2014 8:08 am The scaffolding came down yesterday! Can't describe how happy we are with how awesome our house looks. The slab and brick delivery moments are great, but, the scaffolding down would have to be the biggest highlight so far! Stacks of photos on the blog!!!! Most of you already past Electrical stage so I have a question what is the deal with the electrical fittings, do we get them from them and they install it or we supply them or they will only give us a cable and there you go? Re: Building the Chifley with Rawson - NEW BLOG DESIGN! 171May 02, 2014 5:46 pm lalabk Hi all, Hope you all had a good Easter break! Most of you already past Electrical stage so I have a question what is the deal with the electrical fittings, do we get them from them and they install it or we supply them or they will only give us a cable and there you go? Not sure exactly what you are asking, however... As a basic inclusion they install double powerpoints to each room, and I think 2 TV points. Lights are just a batten fixture. You can request additional things, eg: speakers, speaker cabling, external lights, etc. Just speak to them at your consultation. I think you can even choose to upgrade your powerpoints, you just need to ask. Re: Building the Chifley with Rawson - NEW BLOG DESIGN! 172May 02, 2014 7:48 pm We've had slow progress too. We're up to getting the formwork done for the slab. Some spoil has been left which we weren't expecting and we haven't paid for spoil removal - will need to work out what to do with it. They've dumped it in our yard. With regards to the electricals, I'm pretty sure they won't install any light fittings that you provide. I think you can maybe buy via them for stuff that Beacon Lighting has in stock, but I'm not sure if its a subset of their stock. We are getting some down lights through them which aren't too bad. Otherwise I'll get a sparky in after handover to install all our supplied lights. We paid about $10K to get extra power points, light points, including external ones. It has fitted us out mostly with down lights, but I've got a heap to buy on top of that for bedrooms, dining room, stairs, external etc etc. Re: Building the Chifley with Rawson - NEW BLOG DESIGN! 173May 07, 2014 7:14 pm Progress!
