Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Our custom home - down slope - Plaster 501Mar 06, 2014 7:15 pm Thanks Bradster I bumped into the plasterer on site tonight. He informed me that the cornices should be going up on Saturday. The retaining wall for the driveway is scheduled to start the week starting 24th March. The driveway should hopefully start on 7th April. That will allow the driveway to cure for 2 weeks before handover. Be nice for you to have a driveway ready for when you move in, unlike us The plastering looks great too. My Hamptons build (completed): viewtopic.php?f=31&t=63370 Moved in Wednesday 11th Dec 2013 Front landscaping completed June 2016 Re: Our custom home - down slope - Plaster 504Mar 07, 2014 7:00 pm 1rocky great progress love the garage area for the work bench I love that area. We included that area to house all our shelving, tools etc. In our current garage they really dig into the space so it will be nice to have them tucked away. cinder Awesome HA. Be nice for you to have a driveway ready for when you move in, unlike us The plastering looks great too. It was one condition we had to have - driveway ready for when we move in. I can't imagine how difficult it would be to cart heavy furniture down a muddy hill! We have approached 6 different companies to quote us for glass balustrade and pool (spa) fencing. We are meeting one guy on site tomorrow to measure and provide us with options and a quote. We sent off the Notice to Fence to our neighbours earlier this week. Fingers crossed they all pay their deposits ASAP so we can get our fencing done in April. Paid the remainder of our tiles today and these will be delivered to our current house on Thursday They're not due to be laid until the end of the month but at least we will have them ready for when they ask for them. We are now eyeing off this fridge http://www.appliancesonline.com.au/680l ... rf680cdls/ It should be a good size for our pantry as its not too deep. Samsung have a $200 cash back if the fridge is purchased before 31 March so I'll buy it by the end of the month and request delivery late April - I love Appliances Online The money is flying out the door now Custom downslope build Build thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=61873 Blog http://www.buildingroyalmanor.blogspot.com.au Re: Our custom home - down slope - Plaster 505Mar 07, 2014 7:18 pm love your fridge i am getting the samsung 639 litre from my local store on monday and will then claim the 200 cash back great incentive i need to check appliance online for my freezer Re: Our custom home - down slope - Plaster 506Mar 07, 2014 7:21 pm I've used Appliances Online a few times. We ordered this chaise lounge but with the chaise on the other side and in black leather. We should receive it in 12 to 16 weeks so we will be without a lounge in the family room for a while, which isn't a big deal for us. I assume they ran out. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Yesterday I painted some plasterboard with two different colours so help us decide which colour to paint the theatre room. The two colours I painted are Western Myall and Teahouse. Great idea with sample pots and plasterboard, I've done the same, some on white cardboard as well. Of course the plasterboard gives the most reliable sample. Re: Our custom home - down slope - Cornices 513Mar 10, 2014 3:58 pm Wow you really get an idea of the rooms once the ceilings and cornices etc are up - love your entry <!-- l --><a class="postlink-local" href="https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=62083">viewtopic.php?t=62083</a><!-- l --> Re: Our custom home - down slope - Cornices 514Mar 10, 2014 8:32 pm Thanks guys. We took down the painted plaster today and to our surprise it looks like we are swaying more towards Dulux Teahouse. Today I had my tiles delivered to my residential address so that they can be ready for the tiler when he's ready for them. Only problem is I didn't imagine there being so many tiles as we don't have many tiled rooms in the house.
