[quote="7th_Cavalry"]To everyone building my best advise is...you as the owner should visit your house regularly don't rely on your site supervisor, independent inspectors etc...you have to do your own inspection (sneak in if you must) and call out defects or things that doesnt look right. It is your home, your money and your right. Based on my experience.
So true. I will not get independent inspector, just stick with the site supervisor and visit site frequently.
Independent inspectors are very good. Unless you know all the rules and regulations you will miss alot.
I have noticed lots of little things, like electrical outlets not in the right spot or missing, but stuff like not enough L brackets used and brick ties missing, walls not level and stuff like that you will not know.
I would recommend an independent inspector. But don't use New Home Inspections as this is the same company as Boutique Homes use as their internal inspection process.
What about Darbecca?

I used Darbecca from start to finish and I highly recommend them. Best money spent and worth every cent
