Btw can you choose your site supervisor and other people you deal with once you start with the build? Sadly I don't think you can choose your site supervisor. I've had dealings with both and have nothing but the best things to say about both of them. They turned my expectations on boutique around, which to be honest, I never would have thought could happen. We did our colours in Feb 15 and had scheduled to sign HIA in April when we returned from overseas but ended up putting it off until we could have our concerns with being pushed outside price protection period rectified by Boutique. (Lack of communication from senior management in returning my calls). Our land was significantly delayed and caused some issues in regards to our PWC had each month outside price protection was 1000 or .5% which effectively meant due to the long delays we would end up paying more for the house then the current price. Lots of back and forth in trying to get my calls returned. I simply explained I wouldn't be signing till I was given a complete final price on the house. From there we had a meeting with someone in senior sales team. Signed a variation and then ended up officially going through HIA contract in the office at end of August. We took the contract home to go over, signed all the relevant documents and returned it via express post. Re: Boutique Homes 1925Mar 11, 2016 2:27 pm travelbugvee Donaldouk I'm had the frame stage, and having the handover. It's around $500 a time. My inspector said the most important is the slab, frame and hand over. He could have easily charged me for every stages. I had my frame inspected, in between, frame and lockup, and he said there's no point coming in 2 weeks again to inspect the plaster at lock up. Boutique Capri 27 Seabreeze. Passed to construction on 7th Nov 15. I thought Pre-Plaster is more important than Frame because the tradies will do anything to the frame to get their services through. Once the plaster goes up, all the changes made to the frame will be covered and undetected. The frame can still be inspected during the Pre-Plaster Stage. So Slab and Pre-Plaster for me. Yes the frame can be inspected during pre-plaster but they will not inspect the roof trusses. Check with your independent inspector if they inspect frame inc trusses during pre-plaster. Re: Boutique Homes 1928Mar 13, 2016 2:47 pm has anyone tried to take out ILVE appliance and install your preferred appliance after key handover. I am planning to install Miele dishwasher as I haven't yet received good feedback about ILVE dishwashers.. Do you know how much credit you get from Boutique? I got $385 credit for the ILVE microwave and I changed the appliances to the Westinghouse range and still got an additional $776 credit. Nice brickwork Banehouse - did the estate required you to have a double glazing? to get the higher energy rating? Thanks 7th_Cavalry, it was mine that was bricked lol. To meet the energy rating all my windows had to be double glazed and I changed all windows to awning rather than sliding which assisted in the energy rating. Baneshouse frame looks really good, which design are you building? Guttering all done yesterday and by chance the guy doing it was a friend of ours. Nice to actually know the trades working on the place. Roof scheduled for next week and rough ins the week after. All moving along nicely. Can't wait to start seeing the inside take shape. Ours was originally meant to settle last year March and it got postponed till Oct last year. It's normally expected to be delayed as the estimates the land sales give is always way off and a sale point to make it appealing to those looking to buy <====that's how me and hubby got sucked in coz we thought settlement was only in 6 months when it ended up being 1 yr and 1 month 10 15732 Ask for references and speak to them.
