Hi everyone
Has anyone upgraded to have drain grooves added to their caesarstone kitchen bench tops?
We're thinking of making an adjustment to our addenda and adding it in.
Does anyone know the cost to upgrade?
Thanks in advance!!

We're thinking of making an adjustment to our addenda and adding it in. Does anyone know the cost to upgrade? Thanks in advance!! We haven't done it but your best bet for most accurate quote would be to email your pre start consultant. They can price it up with estimating and let you know before you have your colours appointment. I emailed our Prestart number of times before our colours appointment with any upgrades we wanted and she always got back to me with 24 hours. I got an email from my pre-start consultant, they apparently they ditched their Solar Hot water supplier Chromagen and have replaced it with a continuous mains pressure gas booster 160L of Rheem. i thought solar hot water is mandatory for all houses.. just checked with a friend who recently signed her pwc. She received about $1K credit for 'Provide 24lt instantaneous gas hot water system, in lieu of standard solar hot water system' Re: Boutique Homes 2225May 22, 2016 11:36 pm Hey Jeeman ... its a dual system hot water system with solar panel with continous mains...the way I understand is the solar panels only make the water lukewarm and the gas heats it up....i might be wrong thanks though --------------------------------------------- Building a St. Tropez 25 - Boutique Homes Aurora Estate Wollert - Victoria Re: Boutique Homes 2226May 22, 2016 11:46 pm our_new_digs Hi everyone We will be starting our build of the Riviera 33 in the next couple of months. And I only provision downlights at common areas plus add some LAN ports and powerpoints as I need cabled internet on each room as wired is still faster than wireless. CLIPSPEC is their supplier you dont get alot of choices but see if they offer it. I provisioned another 6k for alarm, prewiring of entertainment systems and roof speakers all in all $12k nothing is cheap these days the electronic stuff are with Argus electronics. What I would suggest is go to there websites pick the products then on electrical appointment ask for them. I left out most of the non essential lights as I will get an electrician install them after the build but the critical ones better have Boutique installed them. --------------------------------------------- Building a St. Tropez 25 - Boutique Homes Aurora Estate Wollert - Victoria Re: Boutique Homes 2229May 23, 2016 9:51 am You will have powerpoints throughout the home and batons to light the rooms. You don't have any downlights as standard but you can do them after handover if necessary for a single storey house. I will advise you that installing an alarm system and cctv is a lot cheaper sourced externally. We will be using GMJ Security Services. Any idea how much Boutique charge per down light and additional double powerpoint? Or for additional TV points or HDMI outlets? We were sent a price list and from memory it was something like $137 for flush downlights to about $145 ish warm or cool globe same price. Single to double powerpoints were $3 difference $47? I think. Re: Boutique Homes 2232May 23, 2016 4:57 pm 7th_Cavalry Seban Hi Everyone.. I have a downpipe next to my garage door in the front elevation of the house. In order to move the downpipe to the side my sales consultant had drawn the house 200mm of the boundary wall. However Now the pre start girl is saying that "I have spoken to the draft team and the downpipe cannot fit in that side gap due to the fall of the gutter as a 12m run is required, installation as the drill is 200m and couldn’t fit to add the gutter and maintenance".. I really don't want that downpipe in the front façade. /quote] I asked the same bec I am putting a CCTV cam below the eaves and an up and down light on side of garage. They rejected my request as well So since the downpipe does not fit in the gap of 200mm they have agreed to relocate it to the rear garage door. So after all I did not have to place the house 200mm off boundary. However she said since I did that I did not have to pay for Gutter on Brickwork which apparently is around 900$. Has any one been charged that? Re: Boutique Homes 2233May 23, 2016 4:59 pm Hi, I assume the cost would be standard for all home designs of boutique. The price sheet is based on Sep last year. We could have gotten away with 30 or less however really wanted a bright house. We also upgraded the fittings so they will look a lot better and the globes are also replaceable instead of having to replace the whole fitting. We spent aover $7k on this and it was nearly half our electrical spend. 44 double power points throughout the home. I went in with a plan already drawn up showing where I think we might need or place lamps or other powered items. In the end I would rather a power point I don't use than have the trouble of a space where I should have placed one. We added 2 under cupboard down-lights to the overhead cabinets in the kitchen. We have 2 feature up/down lights on the front facade either side of the porch. Our porch light is linked to a sensor so it turns on as people step onto the porch. As we have a third garage we have 2 sensor flood lights covering the driveway. We have 3 more on each side of the house and 1 on the back facing the yard. We added 3 dimmer switch locations throughout the home. Main Bedroom, Living and Alfresco We have the provision for 3 pendant lights above the kitchen island and 1 in the dining room. Just have to choose the lights now. We added 2 power points either side of the main bedroom bed position which have USB charger points already included. This way we have a more slimline way to charge our phones 2 wall mounted feature lights to be installed either side of the ensuite mirror. We upgrade our smoke detectors to a more slimline look. We opted for a wired door bell so we don't have to worry about batteries in the future. We added a sound and entertainment package which includes wall mounted TV, Data, PayTV and HDMI all running to a plate behind where our TVs will be wall mounted. They are recessed into the wall. We have this in the Theater and Living room walls. We added a Honeywell Alarm system which has 3 motion sensor points. The benefit with the Honeywell system is that in the future we can add home automation in the future. This would include remote powering on and off of lights in connection with the alarm being triggered or just if we want to turn them on. Controlling appliances or cooling from your smart phone etc. We have added the provision for two fans in the alfresco to be installed after handover. We also added 3 ceiling mounted points in the alfresco. One for our Sonos speaker to play music outside and two for roof mounted heating which will heat the space in winter (similar to what you would see in a Cafe). We also added TV and Data plates to be installed in the alfresco so we can really create the indoor/outdoor area we are looking for. We added extra power and the provision for light switches to be available for use with the pool. This included upgrade power box inside the garage to allow for extra circuits to be connected to the home without having to adjust anything in the future. Lastly, after looking at our electrical plan we have decided to upgrade our home to 3 phase power. This will ensure that the pool, cooling and lighting will all run at the same time with no issues, with room to spare. In the end we came in at a total of $19,000. After the allowances came off we ended up at $13,000. $3,000 more than I wanted to spend however we still left happy. I've read a few people have included a "provision for a pendant". Does "provisioning" mean that a power point is placed in the roof and an additional button is added to the switch? We will be purchasing and installing a number of pendants following hand over (won't be purchasing them through Beacon through Boutique). Or does provisioning a pendant simply mean that the customer will be having Boutique install a pendant but they are yet to choose the style?
