Looking good! Love the plans, especially the self contained area at the end of the house. The main kitchen looks massive!

Well the render has been finished. Next the plastering.

Have a meeting on Wednesday with the supervisor from the pool company. Looks like the pool will be in before the end of the month.

Had a drive through spyglass today and your house is looking amazing! Have they given you an expected handover date?

chris0189, looking towards early December. Fingers crossed.

The ceilings and cornices were delivered yesterday. I'll get some more photo's posted soon.

Quick note.

Popped into DA Central on Thursday as we are having issues with our wall tiles.

We were helped by Steph. Just wanted to say that my wife and I have not met a more helpful and professional person. Steph went out of her way in helping us with our questions.

Thanks Steph, appreciated your help...

Hi Polack,

Early december? that makes me question our handover date. we are at the same stage as you and we were first told about october. but I was thinking more november with some rain delay we have had. but maybe not. Oh well. i guess the longer it takes the more time I have to save.

Bagheera,

The outdoor bbq area brick work has been finished. Just need to organise the render. I'll take some photo's once the pool is installed next week.

Casanova,

That's what we are thinking... :D

With the stacking windows in the kitchen, they won't be started until everything is nearly finished. Then they will measure and get them made which will take approximately 3 weeks. The same with glass splashbacks. This may cause a blow out.

So, we were told early December however I think it maybe just before xmas. If so, I'd rather wait til the new year as I don't fancy organising a move during xmas. ::wornout::

The ceiling and bulk head work continues. Hopefully should be finished in a couple of days.

It's all getting exciting

Looking great, especially the BBQ area, by the sounds of it you will be in by bbq weather.. perfect!

Thanks marybond 2012...

The bbq will be on the left, two glass door bar fridges will be in the opening in the middle and the pizza oven will be on the right closest the kitchen.

With the pool going in shortly, it's all happening.

It's good to see what we visualised on paper starting to take shape.

Well the pool went in on Friday.

Digging the hole. You can see the bbq area to the right which was rendered on Friday.

Going over the fence. You can see the kitchen window on the left which will be our splash back.

In the hole.

The plastering is due to start on the house today.. Also spoke to our SS who gave us a detailed timeline. Apparently things are looking good for a handover in November. Fingers crossed.

Wow, hello pool! That area is going to look amazing.

November isn't a bad handover date. You will in and settled in time for the pre and post christmas sales!

What a great, well thought out plan ::lol::
The shower backing into the dressing room is a good idea, utilizing the space really well, love the poppy flat too.

Are you having mains gas to your outdoor BBQ? We had it at our old place but decided to use bottles this time to move the BBQ around but I'm liking your built in one, specially with the pizza oven, will that be wood fired?

dreamcometrue, thanks for your comments.

The bbq and pizza oven will both run of the mains gas. We had a gas pizza oven previously and liked the flexability in being able to cook the kids pizza's, turn it off and then turn it back on for the adults later. It takes only 5 min's to reach the right temperature and it's easy to control. You can add wood chips to it if you wanted a smokey effect. We never bothered though.

Hi polack

Surprisingly only just found your thread! Your house is looking fantastic!!!

We are also building with DAH - although it hasn't started, we have done pre selection and just about to sign our final contract.
Then onto prestart and hopefully not too much longer till we're slabbed!!!

Quick question, how did you go about getting your pool installed prior to handover??
And do you have to pay for boarding/fencing around the pool while the property is still a construction site???

Looking good, who is doing your pool? We're in the process of choosing the pool and interested in some feedback :)
