AGF if you look at the pics there is a big sticker on the side of the pool saying "Aqua Technics" :)

We are also looking at pools at the moment and trying to figure out who to use - so many horror stories!!

MissEm, Well spotted. :D

AGF, we are going through Aqua Technics. They weren't too bad, couple of hassles which were rectified. Key thing is to make sure you check the pool going in to make sure all the relevent plumbing (i.e heating, overflow) is there.

Regarding installing the pool prior to handover. Some Shires don't like approving prior to occupancy, but will in certain circumstances. We are in Rockingham Shire and explained that we wanted it installed as the block next to us is vacant, making access to the back easier. Luckily they approved it.

We've installed plank/mesh (which we pay for) on the pool which will stay till we move in and finish off the pool. Apparently you can plank/mesh or fence it in. You don't need both. DAH prefered plank/mesh as it stops their workers from falling into the pool should they fall of the roof/ladder.

emmanewman,

Not at the moment. I keep forgetting the camera  I'll try to take some over the next couple of days.

What's currently been done since the last up date.

Walls plastered and most cornices done.
Doors have been hung.
First coat painting externally and internally.
Cupboards in Ensuite, bathroom, laundry and half the main kitchen. (They haven't done the kitchen/bathroom in the Poppy flat as they locked themselves out and needed Jasons to come out and change the lock so they could get back in.)The main kitchen cupboards will be completed once the stone top is put in. (It's been measured for.)
Plumbing started.

Still to go.
Tiling to Ensuite, bathrooms and laundry, (all full height) and the kitchens.
Brick paving to be delivered/laid to alfresco/verandah.
Finish painting.
Garage floor.
Aggregate driveway.
Electrical.
Stacking windows (kitchen).
BIR robes to all bedrooms.
Sliders to Linen.
Carpet.

That's about it I think. SS thinks will be in by mid/end November.

We're currently organising:

Timber decking for the front verandah.
Front/Rear landscaping.
Pool fencing.
Pool paving.
Bore.
Floorboards.
Window treatments.

Lots to do so little time. :)

Stone bench top installed and brick pavers delivered!!

It's actually been a slow week so far. Doesn't seem like much has been done. :(

I'll get some happy snaps done this weekend and get them posted.

Miss Em,

Keep forgetting the camera!!! When I did remember it was poring with rain. I'll get some soon, promise. :)

Another slow week this week. Garage floor has been laid, brick paving delivered and the tiler has cemented the wet area floors.

That's it!

My wife had a meeting with the SS and tiler today. She heard the SS giving a serve to the kitchen guys over the phone as the kitchen in the main house hasn't been finished (60% done) and they hadn't even started on the kitchen in the poppy flat. Should have been done this week. They tried to offer excuses but he wasn't having any of it. Apparently the kitchen's will now be finished Tuesday next week.

Tiling meeting went well. No problems. The tiling should be finished in 2 weeks time. There's alot of tiling.

Well, finally got some photo's done this weekend.

Front of the house with first coat of painting done. Pavers for the back can be seen.

[ img ]

We are putting White Quartz stone in the top portion of the verandah. Example below.

[ img ]

Main kitchen. Stacking windows to be installed in about two weeks.

[ img ]

Pantry from main kitchen. It was supposed to be all door/shelves. Wife added two large draws for jars, tins etc. I think it looks good.

[ img ]

Kitchen in Poppy flat.

[ img ]

We had changed the main kitchen so much and the poppy kitchen was designed from scratch, so it was good to see both finally installed.

Tiling was started on Wednesday. Should take about a week and a half. Here's a photo of the tiles to be laid.

[ img ]

Stay tuned.

looking great, you must be very pleased with how it's all coming along :D The White Quartz will be a lovely touch to your front facade, and the jar/tin draws are a good idea :D

I just googled Secret Harb0ur, what a lovely area! So many green areas and parks and close to the beach, what an idyllic lifestyle! ::lol::

Any idea why brick was chosen as fencing? I haven't seen that before.

dreamcometrue,

Not too sure as to why Satterly are using limestone blocks as boundary fencing. It could be that Spyglass Hill is being sold as a more exclusive area in Secret Harbour. At least I know that they won't get blown over during a storm.

Looks awesome polack, you must be so pleased with how its all coming along!!!

I love the kitchen, really big and spacious!! And you can't have a modern day kitchen without drawers, so your wife did a great job.
We have them in our house at the moment, and they are the best, definitely wouldn't have a house without them lol :))

Lookin forward to seeing more pics soon!

Hi Polack.

Your photos are great - it's great you got a chance to get some at the weekend. :D Love the poppy flat!

Hope everything is going really well - and looking forward to seeing and reading more.

Best regards,

Floor tiling done to wet areas, wall tiles started. Both photos are from the ensuite in the Poppy flat. 300 x 300 floor tiles and 600 x 300 wall tiles

You can just make out the floor tiles.

marybond2012,

Thanks.

Around the middle of November was the last date we were told.

Last week we were also told that the kitchen stacking windows were being made and should be installed by next week. Looking forward to seeing them installed.

Well, most of the tiling has now been completed and grouted. Main bathroom still needs to be tiled and the main kitchen needs some tiling as well. The main kitchen should be finished once the stacking windows are in.

For those that have followed along, you may remember I mentioned we couldn't get our matt 600 x 300 non rectified wall tiles as they were discontinued. Well guess what. We got matt wall tiles but they were rectified. Bonus!!!
