Hello All,
After posting so many comments in Balmoral rd Release thread, I finally decided to have my own thread....(Yes, T, gogo... )
My husband & I decided to buy a land in June 2009 and we chosed an unregistered land in Kellyville, NSW. After waiting for soooo..long, the land finally registered in November 2011. Yes, more than 2 years....
Long story short, we finally decided to choose Wisdom homes for our house. It's called Boston 48, but we changed the layout so many times that now I think looks similar to Wisdom's design called Manhattan...
We added 3rd garage and make the whole house brick face , and now becomes Boston 50.7sq.
The timelines are below : June 2009 : Deposit 5% for land Nov 2009 : Deposit $600 to Wisdom homes 06 Oct 2011 : Contract's signed Nov 2011 : land is registered 25 Nov 2011 : DA Approved (3 weeks only) 20 Feb 2012 : Site Cut 13 March 2012 : Piering 17 March 2012 : Slab's done 5 April 2012 : Frames & Windows finished

Yes, I chose the colors last year, in October 2011. We chose everything 2 weeks after contract's signed... Laundry caesarstone was part of the new Prestige living promotion at that time. Well, I have to pay an extra $11K for the new promotion so that we could get time extension until May 2012.
That $11K was for : New base price, new facade price, New promo price from $3990 to $5990, New front door XS series, laundry caesarstone, Blanco undermount sink, the new Blanco series appliances, Blanco microwave stainless steel, Full height tiling to 2 walls only for all bathrooms (reduced our tiles cost), 3 coats paint system, Decorative "Tempo" cornices throughout (before was only living rooms), 2340mm internal doors to ground floor, built in colorboard WIR fitout incl. 1x drawer & shelf set, Caesastone laundry, Floor & Wall tiles upgrade to $35/m2, Laminated timber shelving to Pantry with 100mm decorative fascia, Off White mortar.
From the tiles itself (upgrade from $25/m2 to $35/m2), I have saved at least almost $4000 for polished porcelain, because it become a standard tiles but not the labour).

Love your color scheme M
Did your underground water tank locate in the rear yard? and do you still have a free access to the rear yard? If so, you can organize the rear yard very easy with cheaper cost M.

Like all promotions it is good value if you are getting what you want, Not sure about tiling to two walls, never seen that before, you would think it would be all walls Not sure what the cornice is either Do you have a picture of your front door? I had a look online is it the door with glass panels that go vertically top to bottom?.
As for tiles you know what I think of dilorenzo, so won't comment

What do you think ?
I like this promotion package, particularly 2340mm internal doors to ground floor. We have a bit problem with our stacker door as I did not carefully read the variation. We have 3 set of stacker doors to Family, Alfresco and Dinning at 2430mm but our stacker doors to court yard only at 2024mm...The highlight windows to our courtyard are standard so we did upgrade but stacker doors are only 2024mm If I red carefully I would request 2430mm height

Thanks for your comments, kiki.
Oh no... for the sliding door, can you still change it, Kiki? You might probably get $$ variation changes only?? With Wisdom, any variation after contract signed, will get charge $250 admin cost ..... That's why we chose really carefully last year...and we chose "safe colors" so it will last longer.

Thanks, Kiki!!
Yes, the underground water is at rear yard, we have access thru the 3rd garage door. I expect the higher cost will be for the retaining wall....we'll need 900mm high ret. wall, but good news is according to the 2 landscapers I met today, it won't need to go to council or need engineer's details.
I met these 2 landscapers today and they both are very professional, hopefully will get the quotes next week.
Good luck with your build. Looks very grand and awesome!
Not to be rude or anything but every time I see houses being built over east it reminds me of a tale about three little pigs...
Why only in WA houses are built with double bricks?
Is there any particular reason why houses in eastern states have timber frames (matchstick houses) and not bricks? Is it better for energy rating or something like that?

Thank you, AubinGroveFan...
I have no idea about the houses in East with timber frames and not double bricks.... (But they last long though...some even more than 30 years old and still resaleable... )
This is my first build. I can have double bricks but unnecessary and the cost is too much !! I think timber can adjust to our 4 weather seasons easily...
And, maybe WA is closer to the tropical weather?? The bricks will cool down the house?? I'm from Indonesia and all our houses also double bricks. So maybe that answers your question ??
As seen in the above image, Fowler recently explained our front windows to Study is 2040mm so it is nicer to have stacker doors between Study and Court yard at the same 2040mm.

Thanks M!
Fowler have not charged for admin fee for any variation after contract signed but they have refused variation in many cases.
I love your front door. Is it an upgrade? how much for that? We land width is just over 15m and side setback rule is 2m so our house width is only over 11m. Very jealous with your front door and triple garage
