Anybody else building in the Renaissance Rise Estate, Mernda? It would be nice to talk to and get to know some of our future neighbours!

:D

Which stage are you in? We are in stage 11, titled in December 2009 and our house is nearing completion (hopefully by Christmas!). Congratulations on settlement getting scheduled, I hope your bank handles it better than ours did :)

Hi Bel&Marz,

We are building in San Sisto, I think from your pictures, just down the road from you :)

We just had plans approved, will begin in mid-feb. I mowed our block for the first time yesterday, for temp fencing - we had heaps of rubbish and some wet concrete dumped on our block already.

Look forward to hearing more from you.

Hi JKL,

It's nice to hear from one of our neighbours! :D Yes, we are in San Sisto also. Congratulations on having your plans approved. :( about the rubbish and concrete! We have rubbish that has been put in our bin! Not that i really care, i care more that our build has started and we are yet to have a fence, but that's another story!

Will you be starting a thread on your build? I would love to follow you on your journey.

I too look forward to hearing more from you and your build!

Take care.

It is good to e-meet some neighbours, I'm thinking I will start a build thread, it'll beat sending emails to everyone with updates and pics... My wife is a bit paranoid about privacy on the net etc. so I might PM you some stuff that I don't want to post for all...

We're building with a private builder, we were originally leaning towards Simonds (and kind of used one of their display homes as inspiration for our design) but ended up going with a builder who's done work for family before and other family have done work for him. I've forgotten his company name, but it's a small operation.

Maybe one day after all built we can celebrate with a TimTam slammer :)

Hi guys

What is internet access like in RR? I've lived in Doreen (where there was only 3G) and I'm now in Mernda Villages while we are building in RR (where we have managed to get ADSL2 from Telstra). Keen to hear what the internet situation is like in RR...

Thanks

Hey fuzzy-sizzles

I've got the wireless ADSL 2 from Telstra and I've never had a problem with it! I find it to be pretty fast and it's awesome with our phones and iPads etc!

Hope that's helped a little!

Regards
Bel ;-)
