Our blog - http://ourwisdommajestic40.blogspot.com.au/ Our H1 thread - viewtopic.php?t=54156 Re: Our New Home - Clarendon Maitland 29 49Jul 01, 2014 7:20 pm Hi Everyone, So sorry I have taken so long to come back. To be honest, I have had an extremely busy year (Got married, moved in, and had baby!) and forgot That combined with not getting notifications when someone has written a reply. So there is my excuse !! Now…… where do I start. I presume everyone else is in? We moved in in April last year, and am still fighting to get things fixed. In particular the rather expensive bifold doors. The whole bottom plate is cracked on the largest of the two from the handover cleaners pressure cleaning them while the drains were clogged with crap. Subsequently water sat in the channel for several weeks while we were on our honeymoon, until out tiler bought it to our attention on our return. We cleared the drains and out poured the water!! @picturebel : Yes ours is the 29, but we added the alfresco, rumpus and expanded a couple of spaces…. from memory we are up around 39 squares…. we preferred the layout when compared to the 40 where the alfresco felt closed in (our opinion). @mikemlmichael Would I build with them again? Im sure you can guess my answer- ABSOLUTELY NOT. While I accept the actual trades (aside from the chinese crew of painters our were all pretty good) onsite are what makes the difference in quality and finish as pointed out, the stress and angst from having such poor (non existent) processes and client management are almost inexcusable. When we next build I imagine I will owner build. After all, I have put that much work into chasing things on this I might as well reap the benefits of doing it all myself (cost savings, contract who I want, quality control, OVERALL CARE FACTOR). Peter, I will put some pics up tomorrow. Although outside is a bit of a worksite as we are putting in about 120sqm of decking which was delayed for over a year as I was trying to make their job easier for removing the bifold door in question. I just can't wait any longer and they will just have to work around it. Anyway, how has everyone else's build gone? Re: Our New Home - Clarendon Maitland 29 50May 05, 2018 7:01 pm Hi Xxennon, I don't know if your still on this thread as I have only just found it? I am looking to build a new house and we are looking at the same design you have chosen and your place looks amazing so that is helping my decision at the moment. Just curious on final pricing was there much extra on top of what your original contract was signed up for? The next question would be have you got a rough price range of what your total build cost sorry if this has offended you in anyway I have never built a house before and I'm getting a lot of different opinions so I'm starting to freak out a little bit. Either way if I don't get a reply from you your house looks beautiful Grant Re: Our New Home - Clarendon Maitland 29 51May 30, 2018 3:05 pm HI Grant, Have replied to your PM, feel free to contact on the number provided. the stair balustrades? There is nothing special about these and I imagine literally every stair installer will be able to do this. 1 6746 The two 15mm holes are obviously not compliant. The Dept of Fair Trading would love to see this one! Do the gutters pool water after it stops raining?
