I had a thread running in here earlier in the year, but had it taken down due to privacy issues. I know a few people in here were following it though, so I thought i'd give a bit of an update for y'all

We had our final inspection on Wednesday, and we are having handover next Thursday! YAY! We're quite pleased about this as you'd expect. Given our initial contract said we'd be handing over in December, this is a big step up

PCI went smoothly. We only had 8 defects that needed fixing and 5 of those were paint defects. Beyond that they just have to replace the track on the sliding door as it has a dint, re-seal the join between tiles and front door and replace a kitchen cupboard that had a chip in it. That's it really.

So unless the bank drops the ball, we'll be in next week!

That's a pretty low number of defects too, it sounds like they have done a decent job with your build.

Got a confirmation call yesterday (Tues) that all defects have been fixed and handover will be happening at 2pm tomorrow. Yay!

Also the bank has come to the party and the money will be ready and all that.

Driveway starts today too. Most pleasing

Wow ... another build at the end - great stuff!!! It's nice to see the building site turn into a house and then a home isn't it? The driveway will really help too. Enjoy tomorrrow ....

Yeah it's really weird to think "I'll live there soon". So used to thinking of it as a construction site really. Also ends my 2 year living with my parents again adventure. YAY lol

8 defects? Wow! I think I had 66, though they were mostly painting (I was very picky!)

You're lucky you'll be able to post pics of your driveway....2 years in and we still have dirt and mud! All good things take time I keep telling myself

Appliances are going in tomorrow morning, so we're good to go straight in. Although at first we're probably just taking the bed and fridge over and move all the stuff in next week. We'll stay there tonight and Saturday night. We're visiting neighbors after the grand final, so we can just walk home and crash after. YAY

Only reason we'll have a driveway now is because we don't want anything fancy so I didn't have to save any money lol

Hi Twiggy, would love to hear about your house and see pics. Your slab and mine were laid on the same day, I built the wiltshire vogue Q1, I've had a very difficult year and also quite a few dramas with H but I am happy to say we finally are in. We finally had handover 2 weeks ago. Its so so good to see the end of the building process and have a home. I am curious what sort of things you have discovered with your house post handover, we did have a few messages early on but I have been lurking and not posting for the past 6 months.

We actually haven't had any issues post handover. Everything has been first rate. Only problems with our house are the ones we created for ourselves by not looking where I was putting light switches on the electrical map lol.

I've been going through my pictures and I realised I haven't really taken many of the house internally since we moved in (Mainly due to waiting on carpet/blinds I think), so here are a couple of photos of our front yard which was just finished (Sans the front path which we have to pave still)
