BB- it IS possible to get it all done on one day...don't ask me how I know... Alright-since you DID ask ( at least I'm sure you intended too ;) ) ...

We moved in on Christmas Eve after the 23rd of December was something resembling one of those Home makeover shows! We had the chippies, sparkies, plumbers, painters & carpet layers all here for 14 hrs-because our keys had to be handed back on December 29th ( after all the Christmas public holidays) due to the fact that 5 weeks earlier our builder TOLD us to give 4 weeks notice-then proceeded to do diddly squat on the house!

I was a builder's labourer for the day because the builder hadn't organised anyone to clean up after each trade-and that had to be done BEFORE the next one could come through!

It can be done......

Nope......my payment was being able to have a roof over our heads-we literally had the removal van backed up to the house waiting for trades to finish!

Mind you, months later when I wanted to get the builders attention ( outstanding items from handover) I sent him an invoice for that day-plus the days I took off work to wait for trades who didn't turn up! Got his attention quick smart! ;)

I like that! ::

I remember hearing a story about someone who was having trouble with their bank making all sorts of mistakes... they sent them an invoice for all the time they had spent in branches sorting it out... and they paid it?! A bit of an urban legend I'm sure, but still amusing.

Good luck this week baby bacchus!

Hello,
Well Jan 20 is PCI day!! It's booked for 3pm we drove past before and it looks amazing.
We also have the concrete guy and another guy coming to quote for blinds as Vista quoted $6,000 for day/ night in bedrooms and just days for the other spaces that's also with a 35% discount. Hubby and I aren't so sure so we are getting another two people out to quote.
We are off to Adelaide tomorrow night till Monday morning, figure we might as well go see hubby's family as we don't know how long the house and setting it up is going to tie us down.
Went for a job interview yesterday with the CFA fingers crossed I get it as it would really be perfect.
So frustrating being on the iPhone as I can't share images.
Will let you know how we get on tomorrow at the PCI meeting.

Oh and yeah they are paying for the containers storages costs for the week and we will go stay at dads for 4 nights I'm over motels/ hotels I need some decent home food eg: veggies :)

YAY! Not long now... :) I know there is a few online blind places that work out a whole lot cheaper! Especially if you have standard size windows, but they do custom as well... search the forums, as this is where I found the links.

I also know spotlight have been recommended by many on here.

Where is the CFA job based? Burwood? Ballarat? Goodluck! I hope you get it. :)

Can't wait for the pic update... hope everything is smooth sailing from here for you babyb.

Jo x
