Hey baby Bacchus, what do you do for work? And do you want close to home, city, etc?

My organisation is always looking for newbies... Just in case you're interested! (I work in the emergency services control room in ballarat... I'm in ambulance but we do fire and police too.) may not be your cup of tea but it's great pay so let me know! Regardless though, if I do see anything that might suit I'll let you know :)

The house is looking great... Can't wait to get started ourselves!

::surprise:: WOW Matt+Jo thank you that would be great if you can keep your ear to the ground. I work in Admin and used to work for Vic Pol in both the VPC and Dawson St before leaving for Sydney some 7 years ago and i was in fact looking at trying to get back into Vic Pol as i enjoyed it so much. ::lol::

Also how did you get on with the storm on Christmas Day? Fingers crossed you were ok.

WOW small world! I work for ESTA - we do calltaking and dispatch for all services down here, but ill keep an ear out for VicPol or similar stuff... we have Ambulance Admin people who work with us (probably quite similar to what you used to do) and on the grape vine I did hear they are looking to recruit soon... so ill keep you updated! (sorry it took me so long to write this)

Your contract should list the penalties if it goes over. Be default it is $250 per week in Victoria if no other amount has been entered.

My contract was for 205 days and it then went on to list the number of days included for weekends, public holidays, wet weather etc. You will need to check out your contract to confirm.

Good luck!

Hi baby bacchus - wow, what an interesting thread. You are so brave building at a distance, hats off to you! :: We haven't even broken ground and I still want to visit our block all the time.

I hope your meeting with the inspector goes well. Keep 'em honest!

After my rather firm email yesterday calling for a site meeting and that they are in breach of there building contract and that we want them to compensate us by way of paying for our container to stay in storage till they complete the house, they have gone awfully quite :th: :th: :th:

Makes me wonder if they are hatching some sort of vindictive email :th: :(

I do feel bad for lashing out at them on here... we have several major issues with them since we started all their admin/ paper work errors but in good faith have not vented on here because i'm not like that.... but enough is enough

Hubby and i have decided that we will be on site every day from Monday till they are finished. We will be calling the SS in the morning outlining what is to happen that day and then one in the afternoon ..... i think they might have taken a little advantage of us being so far away ::cool:: oh well that's all about to change.

Might have to work out how i can get on here on my iphone once we get cut off on Friday so that i can still update... anyone good with this sort-a stuff?

Hey there... Sorry to hear about your delays, hope everything is sorted out urgently for you..

There is an Iphone app called Tapatalk, if you download that, you can search for the forum and get in that way.

Hope that helps!!!
