It's looking great, doreen_kallara! Is the theatre room as dark as it looks in the pics? It's very striking (in a good way :D ).

Slab was done on 14/04 and the house should be finished within a month as tiling starts Friday. Can anyone advise if there is much to do after tiling, I assume carpets then PCI??

Looking good.

There is a bit to do still.. It was 7 weeks from the time the tiles were done till when we moved in.

9 weeks and counting since tiles for me. Since I still have no PCI I cant tell you my total time from tiles to completion. Its week 43 now but my tiles were not put in until week 34. Lets hope your not as lucky as me.

Opps! Have to correct this as my tiles were started in week 34 but they didn't order enough to complete it so it was actually finished around week 38 or 39 so technically, its only been about 4 weeks since tiles were finished.

Doreen_Kallara33 - I would say 4 to 6 weeks after tiling.

Theatre room looks fantastic! We painted the wall behind our tv ourselves and i couldn't justify the cost of feature walls. We did a dark brown and watching movies at night with the lights off looks fanastic as the tv looks frameless.

We also added a cavity door on our theatre room, which is also something we are really glad we did.

I look forward to seeing more pictures!

Hi Sammyjane31,

Your right about the painting part, to do one wall it was $200, but to do the whole theatre room was only $200, so that worked out much cheaper for them to do it. After handover we are getting the big slide doors from the supplier as PD are charging $4100 where I'm getting it just under 2k which is awesome.

Thats awesome price for the doors! Did PD supply their information?

$200 is great for the whole room- your room must be bigger than ours because if we did all 4 walls it would feel like a small box. Our room is a rumpus that we will be turning into a theatre....hopefully one day we can afford those aweomse theatre chairs:)

I am still waiting for resolution to the water bill issue, on the 29th May, a signed copy of the building variation was sent to the office, and not a word since. I have called every day no call returned.

Unbelievable.

During the build everything was awesome.. soon as those keys are in your hot little hand, forget it. Nothing gets done.

Why?

It costs them money.

Would I build again with PD? Probably not. Will I recommend them? Well 5 months ago yes, but now, not really.

Hi humble,

I did follow up regarding the cheque so I just wanted to touch base and see if you’ve either received your cheque or a call from the PD office to let you know when it would be delivered to you? Regards, Ebony

Hi Ebony,

I did get a call, hopefully I have the cheaque in the next couple of days. Its taken 14 weeks to get sorted.

:n:

Hi humble,

Thanks for getting back to me, I’m glad to see there has been some progress. I’m sorry to hear that it’s taken that long and I did try to follow up where possible for you. Fingers crossed that you receive it shortly. Cheers, Ebony

I hadn't thought about it but now you mention it, probably not . I think our bank paid by direct deposit, so no cheque to clear, but our slab payment was made in 4 parts (thanks, bank ) and I think the last one was made on the due date, so 7 days after invoice (or perhaps even a little later :sh: ) which was after the frame started.

Hi Ebony,

I am hoping you can help me! I have emailed and called my BC for the past 3 weeks and now have left 2 messages for her manager and have yet to hear from them.

We moved in on 4th May and the electrical wiring on the front facade doesnt work/not live so we arent able to install our light fixtures. I know we could arrange for our own electrican to correct this but we shouldnt have to do this let alone pay for it.

I will PM you my contact details.

Thanks! :)

Thanks Ebony,

Considering the speed in which the invoices came to me, and the constant phone calls every 3 hrs when one was late. I should be charging interest of 400% a day.

Would have nearly paid off my house by now :::
