Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 26, 2011 11:20 pm I have recently been informed by my builder that the frame stage of my house has finished and they asked me to pay. I went to the site today and found that a few pieces of short lumber (horizontal) used to joint vertical lumber are actually defective and there are huge holes in them. Also I found a few smaller holes in the roof truss lumber. Given this has been inspected by building surveyor should I raise them to my builder? Will these lumber cause an issue? Should I pay them before these issues are solved? I have taken photographs and attached them here. https://picasaweb.google.com/sionghua/D ... 4Ht8KWIUg# Re: Defective lumber in house frame 2Mar 27, 2011 6:39 am Don't stress, Timber is graded to code.
