Hi guys,

This is the first time i've been on here but thought I would start a thread to help with our process!
We are first time builders so its very exciting. We've had our block of land for 14 months but were only married in November so we waited until the wedding was done to start building.. For both financial and stress reasons! LOL

We have a 550sqm block here in the western suburbs of SA! 3 bedroom, two bathroom, two lounge and a massive backyard.. We have signed with World Concept homes and they have been fantastic to date!

Look forward to sharing our journey and catching up on everyone elses!! :D

Welcome to H1 - we're building in Adelaide too. We've just had the slab laid so things are getting pretty exciting for us. What stage are you up to - done any of your selections? Look forward to following your build and good luck with it - hope it's smooth sailing! We love photos on this website so keep us posted on your progress. :z:

Welcome. We built in SA and moved in in December. I love to drop by H1 and watch everyone else's houses being built. As McLaren said, we LOVE pics. Firstly, could you put up your floor plan for us to have a look at? Good luck with your build.

Hi guys,

Sorry ive been a bit MIA lately..
Well we've finalised our plans so signing them tonight and sending back to the builder.. From there we can go to council.. So bit of a wait ahead but thats ok..
We can head off to selections now too.. We pretty much have an idea of what we want, just have to lock in the final bits.. I'll upload some inspiration as thats about all we have at the moment.. lol
We're busy planning our belated honeymoon in 3 and a bit months time (about the time the slab should go down) so enough to keep us occupied! lol

Will def upload some actual pics once we have something to show!

A&R x

Ok so final plans are in council!!! YAY!!!

Above is the final sign off, so fingers crossed we dont have any issues with council.
We are well set back off the road, plenty of indoor floor space, PLENTY of room outside, and we are only built on one boundary which is usually fine.. ::lol::

I would be interested to see your gutter detail where the roof meets the boundary. Usually this would be a gable ended roof, not a hip a s shown on your plan.

Look at the size of that verandah! Love it! Also love all the cupboard space you have there as well.

Good luck with your build!

HUGE outdoor entertaining area! It's great! So much fun to be had there. Can't wait for a start for your build.

Here is the front of the house with gutter detail (and the back)...
We didnt like the gable front look..

[ img ]

We have sliding stacker doors that lead to the huge entertaining area... We will be decking and hopefully putting in a spa..
Might take a few months after we move in but worth the wait!!

The house is 24m or so long + the outside verandah. The house is set 8m back from the footpath, plus we have another 14 m of yard after the verandah... TONS of space..

We did want a red splashback but after seeing some inspiration in another thread, thinking maybe a New York skyline picture behind glass.. :-)

I wanted heaps of cupboard space and so glad we were able to put all that we have in!! :-)
