Would any members know what the consequences of excessive hydrochloric acid would be on new brickwork. The brickwork has been cleaned more than once (4+). Will the hydrochloric acid be retained within the bricks or it is likely to evaporate in time, and if so how long does this usually take, eg, weeks, months, years.
Also would the acid be likely to affect any metal components within the brickwork, eg metal brick ties etc.
Looking forward to any advice members may be able to provide.
