We are 5 min drive or a 20 min walk - I normally walk past it most nights. Don't worry Bel (i'm assuming you're the bel part of bel & marz?) - We haven't heard from our SS either, and our start date was the 16th December, lol. We built a Sandhurst as well though its been a year since we moved in. Did you have your plans flipped? Our garage is on the opposite side from yours. Anyway, the additional bifold doors to the dining/alfresco works a treat specially during summer barbecues! Hi Reaver, I'm not sure if they were flipped or not, it is possible! When we put down our deposit with the sales consultant he asked which side our crossover was on, so i guess it must have been flipped. Do you have a thread or blog? I am yet to come across another sandhurst builder. You are the first one! Yeah right! Nothing has been touched on our land since thursday! DH called PD and spoke to our CSR about a letter we received today about weather delays. Then our CSR told DH that she spoke to our SS and he told her that our slab had been poured today. DH had been past in the morning and nothing has been done. AV i hope i haven't left an impression that i'm a mean drama queen! If DH hadn't have gone past in the morning we would have thought that some sort of miricle happened and we had a slab, only to go past and see nothing has happened, which would have been a massive disappointment. i too hope they can work out what has gone wrong. If we get the slab invoive tomorrow i will laugh so much! There is no way i will hand over any money untill what i am paying for is completely finished! We would most likely laugh it off with our CSR, she has been nothing but a gem! She too didn't sound too happy when DH told her that he had been past in the morning and nothing had been done! If we get the slab invoive tomorrow i will laugh so much! There is no way i will hand over any money untill what i am paying for is completely finished! It's quite common to receive an invoice for a stage that isn't complete. Usually what happens is the SS books in the trades for particular days and those dates all go into the builder's computer system. The accounts department work off that information to issue invoices - sometimes though, a contractor doesn't show up on the day, or there are weather delays or materials not available, and the work isn't necessarily done on the planned date. All you need to do is let the accounts department know that the stage isn't complete and there shouldn't be a problem. Your CSR is there to help with these sorts of things too. It happens all the time, no big deal. Love the Sandhurst. We built the Bridgeport 35, which was the previous version ...I'm told they changed it mainly because blocks were getting smaller and it was to long to fit on most standard lots. Ours had to be modified to fit as it was. Beautiful house, we love living here. Re: Bel and Marz's PD Sandhurst 59Jan 26, 2011 5:27 pm I would have been fuming too! How frustrating for you, have they given you a reason as to why they won't meet you on site?[/quote] no all they say is everything has to go via email.i had 1 site meeting with the sales guy a few weeks back and that was it,it was good as it helped clear up a few issues i had.there not a volume builder but have taken on a lot of work and all they say is there isnt a specified ss just the owner of the company that oversees every build and he doesnt have the time for site visits. what i have found is i can go in as i like and pick holes in the build and send an email and then they sort it out, just as well i,m a carpenter as i know what to look for.i wonder how many unsuspecting people they can sneak bad workmanship past Re: Bel and Marz's PD Sandhurst 60Jan 26, 2011 5:30 pm Half of my original post has disappeared! building1 That would P*** me off too!
