Rawdon Hill have been negtiating with the council, but to no avail. Poop. We need to get the average height of the garage wall, which is on the fenceline down to 3.3m (5cm less than it is...)
This is despite the neighbour giving permission, the developer already approving it and the builder said they have had similar situations where Casey Council has approved 4m average height walls. Argh!
Anyway we have a solution... Which of course will cost more money. There will be a beam visible in the garage (which doesn't bother me) and it will shorten the wall a fair bit... I think from my understanding the wall will look like houses that have no eaves on that side.

Hi wertmezer, We are also building the Montague in The Avenue Estate. It looked like we were going to have same problem as you with the garage height, and we signed off on the beam change but then the council did an about face and approved our plans. Go figure! We just had our slab poured on Tuesday. It does take a while to get going hey, but as Kristyv said once it does start, things do move along pretty well. Let's just hope winter doesn't hold us back too much. I hope to start a thread soon.
